I like to think of myself as a work in progress. I'm learning and discovering new things every day and trying to make the most of every situation. I'm warm and passionate, but basically a kid at heart. I write children's stories and still enjoy reading from the brothers Grimm. I'm also a little quirky, slightly offbeat, kind of organic, and a bit of a health nut. And while I love to play, laugh, and create, I'm also a good listener and extremely dependable; I make a good best friend.

I'm mostly a vegetarian, but not strictly if the meal and the mood are tempting enough. Films, museums, restaurants, theater are all good, but I also enjoy a long walk, or a lazy day inside watching old movies and reading the NYTimes. I like all types of music including jazz, reggae, blues, classical, rock 'n roll, Sinatra, and opera.

What I value most in another person is intelligence, integrity, an optimistic attitude and a good sense of humor.

I'm looking for someone who doesn't treat a dating site like a bottomless box of chocolates. I'd like to share my life with one person who like myself still believes in happily-ever-afters.

I should also mention that if you're allergic to or don't like cats, it's not going to work for us. (I love all animals and my two kitties are tolerant of other species as well).

A first date should be relaxed at a quiet place where we could talk and learn more about each other.
