I grew up in England but moved away when I was a teenager so I’ve lost a lot of my accent. It still comes up every once and a while, like when I’m around family or others from Britain.

I lived in Mexico City when I was 13 and 14 then in Tokyo when I was 15 and 16. Moved back to England for another year and then finally to Florida when I was 17.
Moving around so much at a young age allowed me to develop a respect for other cultures and ideas.

I was in the Coast Guard in the early 90’s… Remind me to tell you about a funny boot camp story.
I love the water and boating, I love kayaking too.
I work in the Marine industry; believe it or not we’ve not been affected by the economy as bad as you might think… I guess those that are lucky enough to have lots of money are still boating… Even those of us that aren’t “rich” still find a way to get out there.

I’m fairly laid back, I have a good career and I do have long-term goals as well.
I enjoy hiking and biking for exercise. I ride the Pinellas trail end to end every few weeks… Forgot the sunscreen on the last trek… Ouch… Fair skinned British boys have no place being out in the Florida sun without sunscreen. I try to get in several 10 – 20 mile trips throughout the week.

I have a 5-year-old boy… He’s awesome… A lot like me actually… He lives with his mother but I have him every other weekend and a couple of days during the week. His mom and I get along so no baggage there. I wouldn’t want or expect anyone new in my life to meet him. I believe there has to be something special there before we expose kids to our adult dating rituals.

I love wine. Cabernet Sauvignon is my favorite. I like watching sports with friends every once in a while, but I’m not a couch potato sports junkie. I’ll drink beer if the occasion calls for it, but lets be honest… Most of them taste awful.

I do enjoy getting involved in community projects. One of my favorites is the Green Armada, which cleans up trash on and along the waterways. It’s just my little way of giving something back.

Ultimately I’m looking for someone to spend the rest of my life with. I don’t enjoy games and I think you can tell by the first meeting if there is a connection or not. I don’t think anyone should feel bad by saying “it’s not going to work out”.
I’m looking for someone with morals, someone who is not consumed with both themselves and their career. Someone who enjoys the outdoors and who has some class. Someone that can change from sneakers to strappy heels without blinking an eye. Someone that’s kind and honest. You should have a job and you should be self reliant.
Someone that can pack a bag Friday night and take off on an unexpected out of town trip for the weekend…
