I am a scientist/perpetual grad student. I research visual neuroscience.

I also frequent goth/industrial/synthpop clubs. and wear too much black. and ridiculously large boots.

I enjoy mini-adventures, and am trying to live for the moment (I've spent far too much time living in the past, and for the future). lately, I've spent a lot of time randomly wandering around Hollywood and LA.

I'm fairly easily amused. as long as I have a computer and/or TV and/or good company, I never really get bored. I am really impatient with most people. with others, I am far too patient. you may either think that I'm a flake, or particularly devoted, depending on which category you fall into.

I can write with some eloquence, although I am usually too lazy to do so.

I am really good at: dancing? conducting research that never quite works? listening. being upfront. subtle jokes that you might miss, if you're not paying attention. zoning randomly. advanced step aerobics. macrame.

music, I primarily gravitate toward goth/industrial/synthpop, eighties, and techno-type-stuff. I love pink floyd, and have since I was 14. I also listen to some classic rock, and oldies, in secret. (shhh.)

movies and food, anything goes.but I never remember details of movies. a few months later, they're gone forever.
