Here for the forums only. I live in a very rural area far from the madding crowd; in my age bracket and area, the pickings are slim. Originally, a "back-to-the-lander" in the seventies, I've established a sweet life running a business I love with friends. Amenities are more current with the times, but I can still split a good block of wood and light a fire lickety-split to keep you warm. I am searching for friends primarily, both male and female. (Except plumbers who seem wildly attractive these days...drip...drip...drip). Being articulate is somewhat important to me. Passion has not left these young bones. However, I'm flying solo for the time being.

I've recently quit smoking and know that I cannot be around a smoker without risking my resolve. Most of the plumbing has been done by a professional. I wonder why Mothers don't encourage their sons to become plumbers, rather than doctors! So, can you roof? Roofers are hot, too.

How about a half-day wilderness expedition in a tandem kayak? No? Okay, any activity of mutual interest that accomodates conversation. No Tim's please.
