Anyone with me that this "dating game" is not as fun as some people believe it to be? For some people, it is literally a game... which totally frustrates me because I'm not into games or drama. So, I have changed my profile for the to-the-point approach, added a little spice, and now... moving on...


I am a 1st Grade Teacher, I live in Blue Springs, originally from Lee's Summit. I am back in school working on my Master's Degree. I love kids until I have my own, I have my 3 year old Godson who I am crazy about!

I am very outgoing and positive. You can always depend on me to cheer you up or be there to listen if you need to rant. You will always leave me with a smile though, because... well, I'm funny and I truly care about people. I laugh a lot and it's very contagious (and loud), so I get laughed at often. But, that doesn't stop me. I am a very happy person and I have heard I have a great smile, I'm usually doing that often too. :)

I have very diverse groups of friends. I enjoy doing pretty much anything as long as I have good company. Summer is my favorite season. I love drinking beer with friends at a BBQ, swimming, 2 float trips per summer are a MUST, staying up late, tailgating in the Royals parking lot and enjoying the environment of people at the stadium (b/c face it, the games aren't very good)... and whatever else the summer holds. I still go out to clubs with my friends for a fun night of dancing with the girls. Otherwise, you will find me at random places or at home with a movie. I love to cuddle up with a warm blanket and watch a good movie (good company to cuddle up with is always welcome).

I must also mention that I am funny, sarcastic and can be a smart-ass. I take the smart-a remarks and jokes but can turn around and dish them right back out. I may be a first grade teacher, but once you get to know me, you'll meet my friends and realize what went wrong (LOL), that I am nothing you thought I was going to turn out to be. (Notice the headline... "I'm Christie and I'm kind of amazing", I wasn't joking) ;D

I have discovered that I have no idea what "type" of guy I want. The things I do know are all about the person and never fits into a "stereotype". I'm looking for someone who is genuinely happy, personable, enjoys being around other people, can tolerate my chipperness, likes kids, committed, is easy going, anti-drama, dependable, educated (we have to be able to communicate and I don't speak the caveman language, so beating on your chest and pointing to tell me you want another beer will not get you anywhere) and must not be a flake. I tend to date one person at a time. If your into "playing the field", please move along. Also, I would rather someone not "waste" my time by communicating because they just might be ready to start dating someone else (that's where the whole flake thing fits in... if you're gonna flake out on me, i'd rather not even go there).

I love my job, my friends, and where I am now. However, I am ready for the next chapter in my life, that's why I'm here. :) I can be shy, so if I have checked out your profile a few times, it's probably because I'm interested. If you want to say hello, that would be nice.

I'm up for anything really. Somewhere where we can go and talk, get to know each other, see if we mesh well. As far as on a first date, people expecting "to get some", keep on moving....
