About Me
Like everyone else, I'm looking for that great Earth shaking, bone tingling, last love; the one that makes us both smile just thinking about the other. Does it exist? You bet; I just haven't found mine yet. I believe I will though.
I'm looking for an adventuous soul, one willing to engage, to do things, not sit around moping and growing old. Too many people in Florida, as they get older, think life is how many pills one takes, or what doctor one sees. That's not life, that's mouldering away; you need to get out/up and live. I like to ski, to travel, both in the US and in Europe. I love to explore new places, or even revisit ones I've seen before. (I've been thinking about Buenas Aries, Argentina; love to go there) Paris is a favorite. So I want a partner who isn't afraid to jump and take off for, say Paris, and just wander, marveling at everything, doing things, enjoying life (jazz at 3 am?). Actually, I'm now contemplating living in Paris for a few months or a year; just trying to work out the details and logistics of such a move.
So, I'm looking for someone who is available, physically as well as psychologically, and wants to enjoy a full, satisfying life. Obviously, that involves a variety of activities from international/local travel to quiet evenings at home cooking for each other and later cuddling with a movie or a book. Coffee and rolls at Panera on Sunday morning with the paper. In other words, whatever feels right for us, as long as we are active and happy. It would sure be a bonus if you ski and want to go on a ski trip or two this winter.
For the record, I still have all my hair, most of my teeth, and can still walk upright without a walker (do 3-5 miles everyday as well as weights, etc). My weight has stayed at an almost constant 180# for over 20 years. Chronological age isn't always the #1 determinant of what or who a person is.
I definitely do NOT want a caregiver, nor do I want to be one. Someday maybe I'll have to, but not for a long time.
First Date
In a perfect world, given my druthers, I would say coffee or a glass of wine at les Deux Maggots, or Cafe Flore in St Germain des Pres, or at Francoise across from the Eiffel Tower, sipping a glass of wine while we watch the lights on the tower come on. However, being realistic, I would suggest a local cafe, either on the beach or somewhere downtown; somewhere we could actually hear each other as we become aquainted. Then we could decide if we want a real "first date".
