I am a lifelong musician, reasonably successful at it, and have a great rep in the area for my work, both playing bass and repairing guitars and basses, also a lifetime passion. There are a lot of professions that pay way more...but I truly love what I do, and accept that I'm not going to get rich doing this. I drink once in a while, socially, NEVER had a drug problem, used less drugs in my youth than the president! I have NO substance use issues. If you do, or drink more than a few every day, or drink a few, think you're "o.k.", and drive home- don't waste my or your time. I am not and never have been a 'player'...except for the bass.
