I think it's great how everyone seems to start these blurbs with something that paraphrases "I'm not doing this online thing because I'm a loser.. believe me." =) Hahahaa..

On a suggestion by a friend of mine who has had some wonderful success, I'm checking this thing out.

I'm a helluva funloving 5'10" brown haired guy on the brink of something awesome. I can just feel it. I enjoy cheering on my Oilers, traveling (I've been to 5 different continents), listening to music (most everything.. except hardcore metal), watching movies (I can even stomach a "chick flick"), playing guitar (at least I like to think so), cooking new dishes, working out, hanging out with family, and letting loose when the occasion calls.

I was employed in the restaurant/bar industry for a number of years, but decided on a change of career and I'm currently employed in an incredibly rewarding career in healthcare.

Things I AM GOING to do before I die:
- Run with the bulls in Pamplona
- Go on a month-long mission with Doctors Without Borders
- Attend a Stanley Cup winning game
- Attend an Olympic event
- Skydive
- Watch the launch of a space shuttle
- Learn how to take a compliment
- Show up at the airport with a backpack and passport and buy a ticket for the first plane out of the country
- Learn to dance properly
- Fall deeply in love
- Scream into a microphone at the most inappropriate moment
- Drink beer at Oktoberfest in Munich
- Ask for a raise
- Sing a great song in front of an audience
- Own one very expensive, but absolutely wonderful business suit
- Write my will
- Drive the Autobahn
- Spend another Christmas on the beach drinking Pina Coladas
- Donate money and put my name on something
- Donate money to a charity anonymously
- Learn how to do my own taxes
- Catch a ball at a Major League Baseball game
- Make a hole-in-one
- Run a marathon
- Ski a double black diamond run
- Visit the two remaining continents I have yet to visit

Things I have already scratched off my bucketlist:
- Attended a taping of Late Show with David Letterman
- Got my photo taken with Donald Duck.. the REAL one.. in Disneyworld
- Visited Cuba while Fidel is still alive
- Met Wayne Gretzky
- Had a beer with Jack White of The White Stripes
- Done a dozen regretful things in Vegas
- Swam with dolphins
- Planted a tree
- Ridden on the back of an elephant
- Test driven a car I can't afford

- Sporting events are always a winner. Even if its a sport that I don't follow.. just to be in the crowd and be a part of the excitement.
- Go ice skating so someone can teach me how!
- Coffee and good conversation is always a great stand-by.
