About Me
You can see a fleeting facet of me in the pictures and you may read the words I write, yet you will not know me until your fingertips touch mine. I have been a soldier, bull rider and builder of homes yet none of these things are me, they are some of the skills I have learned along the journey. Mom wanted me to be a dancer and I thought it was so cool when they held the girl over their head so while I was bull riding on the weekends I also took Ballet. The guys may have laughed but I was a better bullrider than they were. But that was long ago and today I face danger in other ways, Like giving my opinion when it is not asked for or saying yes that does make your butt look big, maybe you could try a narrower or draping belt. I notice I am a little rusty on the dance floor lately and would like to work on that. Ballroom is so sexy and kinda fun but I need some refresher clases to really dazzle you. I like some good ole rock and roll or blues to let those moves that you have never seen before shine. I like doing things that are participative. I am not much of a bystander but I am also not into hiking the rim trail. I just like to be part of doing things. At a party I usualy am trying to get a game of something going. Even if it is one of my own invention like ding dong ping pong or Life's Treasures that is a game of story telling. I have a seriouse side too and the rest of this profile is dedicated to what I think and my passion for helping people. Much of what I have become is in part to not having someone special to laugh with and do things for. Life is good but the magic is in a loving relationship with a wonderful person. This little story may not be romantic nor dazzle you with my wit and humor but I believe that security in a man you can count on opens the feminine spirit to opportunities for limitless passion in each brushing of our lips, in every touch and in each embrace. My two younger sisters and I were raised by a single mom who gave us an abundance of love hoping to make up for all that she could not give us. I learned very young to understand how much the needs of a woman differ from mine. Taking care of little things became the load I could lift from my mother. Not that they were very big things when I was five but a pattern of knowing that I did not have to move mountains just be able to be counted on to do what I said I would, let her know she was not alone in her struggles. I can hold my own on a ballroom dance floor, swing you at the honky tonk or move with your spirit at a drumming or the dances of universal peace but I would much rather slip my hands beneath your robe and sway to an oldies love song in the kitchen while we wait for the coffee to brew. When all the chatter is silent and all the rushing to and fro is done, it is in the touch that you will know one who is capable of giving unconditional love to a friend, a lover or the beggar on the street. It is in the strength of body and spirit that you can know one who will stand in the fire for you or with you as you have need. It requires a journey of struggle together to know you can count on someone and build trust. When there is trust in all things then joy can overflow without holding back. Joy and laughter abound in this safe space of love where all things open to beauty, fun and excitement. If I could write the words of love that would tell you of my tender heart, I would write them here for you to read and hope that they might flow into you like a spring breeze and be cuddled to your cheek like a snuggling puppy. If I could paint a picture here that would show the dances of my spirit and the beauty of my imagination, I would paint it here for you and hope that seeing the multitude of colors would let you feel the delight within me. If I could shape the tree in a way that could show you the beauty and inspiration I find in nature, I would shape a home of the tree so we could live with the tree. Our bedroom would be nestled high, Held securely in the uppermost branches, giving us a view of the stars each night. If I could chisel the stone I would make a statue that exuded peace, love and harmony to all who viewed it. If I could spin the clay on the potter’s wheel, I would draw the molecules together like Mickey did in Fantasia. Let the clay swirl within the creative touch of my hands to make a gift for you. I would pull another piece of clay through my hands and make a sturdy handle. Glazed in the colors of spring, Clear skies and warm sunshine. I present this mug to you that your hands might encircle it as you sip your morning coffee and feel the warmth of my love. If I could touch your hand and look into your eyes we might never need words again.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I checked the box that said Christian-other because the basis of my spiritual beliefs is Christian but I do not limit my spiritual quest to the church or Christian book stores. I am in awe of the wisdom of this generation of teachers like Deepak Chopra, Neale Donald Walsch and Wayne Dyer. I loved What the Bleep and already knew the Secret. I have studied the Coarse in Miracles and am a Star Trek fan. I listen to Delila at night, Oldies and the Native American flute of Carlos Naki. Each moment shared with another adds to my learning and my joy. I think judgment of others and ourselves is the most self-limiting thing we can do. I enjoy building things around the house, gardening, cooking, self improvement tapes and Cd's. I make a choice to enjoy life and the things we do in it. If you want to go to something that I do not particularly like doing but you would like me to go then I will choose to have a good time and find something to enjoy or choose not to go. I think it is a drag to take someone along that does not want to be there and not willing to make the most of it. I enjoy my work so if there is nothing special to do I am usually building or fixing something for someone. I enjoyed rafting, ballooning, and dance classes. I bought a kayak but have not put it in the water yet. I am not a couch potato but I am a home body. I would like to expand my organic garden and sell produce this year. I am also looking into vermiculture to really give the plants a boost. I am a little out of shape but have never found anything I could not do. 10K runs are in the past and will stay there:) I attend burningman where I am a lamplighter and this year will be at the healing camp of heebeegeebee. You may have heard some negative things about this art festival but if you would like to read about the wonderful things going on in that special place I would be happy to share some of my stories. Whether we are to touch in some way or never share a joined experience I wish to leave you with a thought from a teacher of another time. "Those who were dancing, were thought insane By those who could not hear the music" Nietzsche
First Date
For our first meeting, I would love to walk along the river holding hands and talking. Most importantly is our conversation, if we cannot communicate our thoughts and feelings to each other with words then we play a guessing game that can create misunderstandings. I like harmony and talking helps us understand each other better. Take my hand let me look into your eyes. Can you see me? Can you be open to allow someone to see into you without shrinking back? As children we made friends fast because there was only the thought of someone to have fun with. Life seemed to get complicated along the way. Perhaps we could keep it simple, find joy in the moment with just a smile and I'll tell you about my belly button lint collection:)I would like to go dancing and a movie sometime but those things are best done when all we need to say can be shared in a look or a touch. I am a romantic man, My love language is touch, I am a hugger and cuddler. I hope to find you stimulating in every way and it would be nice if the feeling is mutual but I do not want sex until we know each other. I say this because it seems that women expect a man to be trying to get in her panties and if I do not you might think I am not interested. That is not the case at all, in fact I believe that if a guy is trying to get in your panties the first date it is because he does not think there will be a second one and he wants to get laid before it's over. I am not that guy. I hope that we feel a mutual desire that makes us dizzy from the thrill of the possibilities and I hope those feelings stay with you and show up in your dreams each night. With all of this said and I hope understood, Let us email, talk on the phone and then meet to look into each others eyes and see if we can see a future there. There is a poem the resonates with me and perhaps it will feel like truth to you too. Here is a portion of that poem. The invitation by Oriah Mountain Dreamer It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living, I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing. It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive. It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain. I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it. I want to know if you can see beauty, even when it is not pretty, every day. I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, "YES!"
