Cautiously experiencing single life. I am first and foremost the mother of 3 boys, my proudest accomplishments in life. Two are out of the house and the youngest still lives at home. I am a pretty social person. Like to be with friends, go out and meet new people. I've been described as outgoing, personable, friendly, witty, fun, playful, funny, confident (with a bit of vulnerability mixed in), compassionate and caring, sincere, loyal, honest, passionate, - that's a start. And often guessed much younger than my age - which I deeply appreciate! I sure don't feel it, and I've been told I don't act it - whatever that means! My house is often a pretty busy place. My kids and their friends hang out here a lot, which I really enjoy. Never a dull moment! I love music, it's always playing in our house; rock, country, oldies, even some of "my kids' stuff". I enjoy going out with friends, love to dance, but also like curling up with a good movie at home. I love animals of all kinds, but have limited myself to 3 dogs (and a fish, which was an accident). I enjoy sports - LOVE baseball, and spend a lot of the spring, summer and fall at ball fields watching my boys play. Love doing things outdoors. I am not "high-maintenance", but will admit that I enjoy being spoiled a little from time to time. I am attracted to someone who is a mixture of strong and sensitive, romantic, affectionate, sincere, honest, respectful, thoughtful, complimentary, not afraid to express their feelings. Spontaneous, passionate. Confidence is great, but there's no room for arrogance, big egos or macho-stuff. Someone who values their family and friends. Laughter and communication are a must. I appreciate the simple things in life; thunderstorms, lazy Sunday afternoons, walks in the park, cooking on the grill, and the special moments in a relationship; holding hands, an unexpected kiss, a look across a room, a call in the middle of the day (or night), a note on the pillow, long talks, surprises, a touch - never underestimate the power of a touch. I like to expect the unexpected. And I like to give the same. There's so much more, but I guess that's to be discovered. Ultimately, eventually, I guess I'd like "the fairytale". I'd like to think I could fall in love with someone over and over again.

First dates are difficult and nerve-racking enough if you don't know someone well, so keeping it simple is good. Lunch, a drink, maybe dinner in a casual atmosphere. If things go well and the chemistry is there, the location can always change.
