There are too many possibilities and things to do in this life to spend it being lazy... or inside. I'm more interested in the horned lizard living in my back yard than what's on television. Yes, I clean up just fine in a suit for business or a fun night out. Sure, I like "fine dining" as well as anybody else, but I'd rather do it out of my pack while camped on a ridge. A hot cup of tea is so much better when you're tired, cold, and wet. For fun and sanity, I hike, mountain bike, run, inline skate, rock climb, and do yoga. My vacation time is usually spent in the mountains or at the ocean (have wetsuit, will travel!). Currently, I'm spending a lot of time on home improvement and British car projects. Pouring concrete, building block walls, framing, drywalling, welding, grinding, rebuilding, and painting in my spare time sends me back to work feeling refreshed. I really like what I do for a living and feel fortunate that I can be somewhat flexible in my assignments and schedule. It allows me to not miss more important things, like spending time with my daughter."I've always admired a certified welder" was the tagline used in a tech school commercial years ago. It works for me. There'd be no resisting a woman who had her own plasma cutter. If you're too tall, too smart, too accomplished, or not enough of a wall flower for most guys, you might be just right for me. I want to be with someone who doesn't always see things the way I do, has passions that don't necessarily match mine, and likes to share. An interest in physical fitness is a must, as is a sense of humor. I have a dad's sense of priorities and am not always available to frolic. Fortunately, that comes along with a lot of "single dad skills"; cooking, cleaning, mending, and a good amount of "goofy".
