My name is Billy (how could you guess?) and I'm 18. As far as life goes, I've graduated high school, and I will begin college this Fall in late August. I am currently a communications major. I'm a pretty mellow guy, and drama isn't something I'm interested in bringing into my life.

I like to think of myself as fairly intelligent, and I'll concede that I'm a little opinionated. I'm pretty down to earth. I have a few things going for me, like great friends, dedication, and common sense (which is getting rarer these days it seems).

What I'm looking for in a girl is someone without baggage, down to earth, knows what they want, and most of all a girl who is strong. I want a girl who will respect me as much as I respect her, and is also stable and independent. Security is important too. I think an intelligent girl is a huge turn on, someone who can form their own opinions and who can hold their own is perfect for me. Another attractive thing in a girl is if she doesn't mind taking a few chances, and trying new things.

To help you learn a bit more about me, I'll throw a few more things in here. My favorite movie is "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," which is incredibly amazing. My favorite sport is soccer, and football is a distant second. I like the atmosphere of concerts, libraries, and coffee shops. I don't smoke or do drugs, but I believe it's every person's choice and prerogative and I don't think less of them for it. My favorite tv show is House or any Law and Order (except CI) but I don't watch tv all that much. I spend most of my time with my friends doing anything we can think of. One thing we do manage to do is keep life interesting.

As you may have noticed, I'm overweight, but I put myself on my own diet, and have lost plenty of weight, and will keep it up until I'm happy with my health. One of my personal goals is to be as upfront and honest as I can be, mainly because that's a quality that a lot of people around me don't seem to have. I have only one or two close friends, and a lot of acquaintances, but I'd rather have more close friends and less acquaintances. I don't believe in anything supernatural or pseudo-science type stuff. The only unexplainable thing that I really hold onto is love, though I can't really explain that. Guess I'm a bit of a romantic, but I really think that love should be the center-piece of one's life, taking priority over all else. I might not always act like it, but that's what I believe.

It really depends on the person.

A public place is good for a first date, something like a concert, dinner, coffee or lunch in the park.
