About Me
"Our integrity sells for so little, but it is all we really have. It is the very last inch of us. But within that inch we are free." -- V for Vendetta
Hi, thanks for stopping by, I hope you'll read what I've written. I'm just a guy living in suburbia trying to live as a good father, brother, son and friend. I have a good career that brings a lot of excitement to my life and works well with my interests in arts and culture. As editor, it also allows me the ability to spend as much time as possible with my kids, chasing them around the classrooms, fields and courts they love so much.
Above all else, what truly matters is love and laughter. You have that and you have everything worth having. Now, on with the philosophical nonsense: Everything I am about sells for less than it will cost tomorrow. And every cost I've paid makes the me of tomorrow more valuable by the minute. More than likely, you've seen someone like me. You've known someone like me. In each and every opinion and in each and every expectation, there are a great deal of errors. Those that can refrain from putting me into a single category, and stop themselves before they slot me into a neat little corner, can expect my most sincere admiration and loyalty. The lone title that defines me both superficially and spiritually is "father." It is what I wear proudly on my sleeve and is in every fiber of my being (I have three kids by the way, ages 11-17). I'm not nearly good enough for the title, but I am trying like hell to continue to improve. As a person, I am opinionated, thoughtful, creative, overly-considerate, mildly neurotic, positively absolutely protective, sometimes clever, observational, and a big kid at heart. I'm a liberal and agnostic (please ask before you judge), which means I think freely and progressively and yet am not smart enough to claim to know it all. If there's a place more than our beautiful, perfect Mother Earth, then I look forward to experiencing it. If not, this life, this planet, this society is everything I'll ever need to consider to be Nirvana. I find beauty everywhere. Have felt love that has reached the highest of highs and experienced devastation that brought me to my knees. And here I stand. A father, a son, a brother and a friend. As you read this for the first time or the tenth or the last, remember: As your eyes read these words, try to imagine my heart as the whole of what you learn. And as you breathe, I breathe and in that unconscious action alone, we are one in spirit, in humankind and in friendship.
First Date
++ Please, egomaniacs and professional daters need not apply ++
I'm a very laid back individual, but an enthusiastic conversationalist. So, a first date for me would include some sort of activity, maybe a walk through a vineyard or around a lake or park. Then, when both people are feeling comfortable, maybe some dinner or drinks or (even better) ice cream. However, i am always open to suggestions. Love new experiences!
