As my interests above show, I like a lot of things. I am definitely a "doer" who wants somebody eager to try new things, go to new places, and who is a life-long learner too. I love all subjects and whenever I meet somone new I make it a point to listen to them and learn something new that they know better than I do.
I love music and have an eclectic taste that ranges from 80's to classical. I play electric bass and acoustic guitar and threw an album together with a band back in college.
I also stay very fit. I go to the gym at least 3 times a week and eat healthy (no fast food!). It it feels good to eat right, exercise, and have lots of energy.

I am an educator, and I work hard but play hard too. I dedicate myself to projects and tasks but also make sure that work never takes over my life. Vacation and recreation are essential. Also, my goofy sense of humor is a huge part of who I am, and it gets goofier and funnier the more comfortable I am so it may take a bit of time to see it come out.
I prefer movies to TV shows, cooking to eating out, and bars to clubs. Definitely lean far left and don't have a stomach for Bush or anyone who can relate to him. I am part of a local human rights group and am a board member for a nonprofit educational company as well.
I have a lot of energy and ambition. I have high expectations of others but of myself too so I think that it is fair. I have always had great relationships with my family, friends, and colleagues.
I love creativity and people who have new ideas and chase their dreams. I constantly do new art and writing projects and never think that anything is out of reach.
Since I have so many odd jobs besides my full time job as a teacher I make good money, and that is important to me becuase I want to be able to afford to travel and support myself and others. Yet I would definitely take a job that I enjoyed more over one that paid more.
I am also writing a book. I actually have a contract too. Itis exciting and a bit terrifying!

I am looking for someone who is open minded and full of postive energy. I want someone who I click with but who will also challenge me. She should be her own person and get at least as much out of everything as she puts in.

Well I haven't done online dating before, so I guess the first date should just be coffee in this case to see each other in person.
Then, on the second date, I would want to do dinner and a movie. Out for one, and in for the other-you choose which. I do love to cook, however, and make an especially good rack of lamb. I have found that getting the right reduction is essential. It is also never quite the same but seems to keep getting better!
Either way, I want to make sure we have plenty of time to talk and get to know each other. And enjoy good food and wine, of course. Oh, and the guitar might come out, but only by request.
