Hi Ladies,
Thank you for taking the time to read my ad and view my photos. I am a retired gentleman trying to enjoy life after 40 years of work down a long and bumpy road. My roots began in the deep south, New Orleans. My Mom was from New Orleans area and my Dad is from Tacoma. So, I am half "cajun" (my hot-n-spicy side) and almost half Norwegian. I love the "cajun" food when I visit my relatives in New Orleans. Other foods I enjoy are Italian and Mexican. And, a good BBQ'd porterhouse steak is at the top of my list! My Dad was career army, so we moved a great deal. In 1965 our family moved to the Tacoma area, which I consider home. In 1967 I entered the Naval Service, serving in submarines for almost ten years. It was some of the most interesting and rewarding years of my life. As an army dependent and navy man, I was lucky to see a good part of this world of ours. My travels have taken me to Germany, Spain, Greece, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Nova Scotia, Malta, Palma de Mallorca, Netherlands, Panama Canal, Acapulco, British Columbia, Adak (Alaska), Hawaii, Guam, Midway,
Philippines, Hong Kong, Viet Nam, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and probably a few other places that skips my mind at the present. Travels in the USA have included all our Western and Southern States, up and down the Eastern Seaboard and many other states
in between.
Since 2002 I have been active with a veterans group here in the Tacoma area. Has been very rewarding.
I am seeking a lady that is over 48, has a great sense of humor, down to earth, loves the outdoors, easy to talk with, a Christian, understands life is not perfect and we make mistakes and grow from them, enjoys some of the things that I do and is willing to teach me and share her likes. Some one that loves to walk holding hands and not afraid to show some affection in public (A kiss now and then!). BBQs and drives in the country. Seeking someone that loves to explore new and exciting places. Would like to meet someone that is up for doing things on the spur of the moment, or is just happy to stay in and watch a movie or cook a good meal together. Later in the year I enjoy attending all Washington Husky Football games (I have two season tickets and would love to find someone special to attend the games with me. Seeking someone that appreciates the beauty our state offers, even though we have so much rain in the winter. Someone who likes to get out and venture. Late night walks on Ruston Way under a full moon bright night. Feeling the breeze in ones face that is coming off the breakers of a secluded beach. The fragrance of fresh alpine flowers. For me, it's not so much what two people are doing, but they are doing it together and enjoying each others company. Prefer to meet a lady that lives in the Tacoma or near by.
I do have faith in God, and would like to meet someone that does as well. While I am a Lutheran, I have no issues with attending other Christian Services.
Have recently joined the YMCA and I now work out on a regular basis.

A lot would depend on where you live. As a gentleman, I would travel to your area.
Perhaps meet for coffee and/or breakfast some morning in a quiet place where we can
chat and get to know each other a little better - to break the ice. Should we decide
to meet in the evening, then a quiet place where we can hear each other chat. A lot
would depend on how our emails and phone conversations go and what our likes are.
Perhaps a nice walk together as well.
