The basics are simple:
1) I am 6'3, 245lbs;
2) I am gainfully employed as an IT Director, and I moonlight by teaching adults how to get a college degree, based on a book that I wrote;
3) I have never been married, never been arrested, and have never had children (though I am looking forward to doing so - getting married and having children, not arrested);
4) I do not smoke or do drugs, but I do drink occasionally; and
5) I am extremely intelligent and have an often wry-witted sense of humor.

The particulars are a bit more complex, however, as my tastes and preferences vary somewhat from the...stereotypical.
1) My musical tastes range from Prince and Jill Scott to the Smithereens and Res.
2) I am not a big fan of nightclubs (dancing) or basketball; I love reading, comedy clubs, movies, the Kennedy Center and the Smithsonians.
3) I am a bit reserved when meeting new people, but my friends will tell you that I am honest, sincere, sensitive, considerate, kind, funny (in a wacky kind of way), and loyal. One of them even wrote a book about me (well, a main character was based on me).
4) Working on my own flaws keeps me so busy that I don't have time to criticize you or anyone else about their shortcomings.
5) I have been called a "quasi-intellectual," which means I have an opinion about everything, and often the wrong one. :)
6) I am an excellent conversationalist - I know how to listen to others.

I am looking for a woman who appreciates the subtler things in life...for example, a woman who is looking for more than someone who fits a description, but rather someone who fits HER. I would want this woman to be kind, intelligent, sensitive and funny. She must have an appreciation for the absurd, as well as an ability to be open-minded about other points of view. She should have a little "edge" (be assertive), but otherwise be quite womanly while letting ME be the man.
