I'm divorced with one son who lives with me 4 days a week. I play on a coed soccer team where most the women are married and sing in a men's chorus, so I figured I need to be a little more proactive if I'm going to date. I like hiking, nerdy music (classical, even an occasional opera) and have dusted off the bicycle. I'm intelligent and would like someone who is also.

I'm not here for an instant wife. I'm here to find a new best friend. Someone that I don't just enjoy being with, but look forward to getting home from work even though I was with her for breakfast.

We don't have to like all the same things, that actually sounds a little boring. I want someone that will explore new things with me and will open up new things for me. Be prepared for some hiking...I've got a few mountain vacations planned for retirement and need to visit them occasionally so I don't go through mountain-withdrawal.
