I am tall, long brown hair, blue eyes and been told I have a cute smile, a great laugh and am easy to talk to. Have lots of great friends, many are married and I am lacking that certain someone to share life with... someone who will stick around not just for the good times but also the bad. That's when you see the true substance of a relationship. I am not looking for a soulmate or a magician LOL... Relationships do take effort, communication and compromise, and it takes time to get to know people. There's no way around it, but it sure can be worth it when there is chemistry, shared interests, harmony and mutual respect. Don't you think? I love the way two people can connect with great conversation when you know you're on the same page and the other person isn't in outer space somewhere while you are firmly grounded here on earth. I guess I follow the beat of a different drum sometimes. I don't look at the glass as half full or half empty....I'm just glad there is something in the glass because for many the glass is completely empty....just turn on the news. I am more of a realist than an optimist or a pessimist...don't care for the little Mary sunshine type of personality anymore than I do the whiney, chronic complaining type either. But I believe in being true to your feelings and keeping it real. Refuse to wear a fake smile and act like everything is fine if it isn't. You'll never have to guess what I'm thinking. I'm not afraid to tell you and I love an occasional debate. I am a caring compassionate person, a humanitarian who has fed the homeless and tutored inmates to get their GED. I am not afraid to stand up for what I believe in even if I have to stand alone. Greatest attractions: tall man with a quick wit who respects women, has a good sense of humor, is open with his feelings and most of all has CHARACTER. As far as the fun stuff, I like to watch kids playing. They are so delightful and its an escape from the adult world of responsibility. Kids are so real, so unassuming and love so unconditionally. We can learn from them. I love throwing waterballoons at them or running thru the sprinkler with them. I enjoy (make that crave) nature, the ocean, mountains, hiking, bird watching and seeing animals in their natural habitat. Love summer festivals,outdoors concerts, Italian food and gut-rumbling laughter. Also love to dance but kind of rusty at the present. I believe the greatest compliment you can give a woman is not necessarily to tell her how beautiful she looks but to simply listen when she is talking. So summer is here. Let's have a blast. Sipping wine under the stars, walking in the rain, splashing through puddles or singing with the bands at the festivals, barbecuing steaks and laughing like a couple of hyenas when something is funny because we believe in living life with passion and making every moment count. How's that? P.S. Don't forget 50 is the new 40. LOL

Dinner and/ or a drink in a quiet place is probably best so you can get to know each other without yelling across the room. But I am open to your ideas.
