About Me
In relationships I prefer win-win situations where both people are happy, satisfied and respect each other and themselves. Friendships and loyalty are very important to me; they can count on me, I can count on them. I like open-mindedness, deep discussions and sleepy chats, sidewalk cafes, drinking morning coffee on my porch, quiet moments and knowing glances. Chemistry is very important.
I exercise regularly so that is important to me; it is one of the things I make time for and hope to meet someone who feels the same and is reasonable fit. Having a healthy balance, compassion, not hung up on the past, and a good sense of humor are real assets.
I avoid drama and neediness, so please have a positive attitude; I'm a glass half full kind of person. I like movies, music, dining in/out, getaway weekends, the outdoors all year, candlelight dinners, privacy, and sincerity. I am outgoing but can be reserved at times until I figure out what's going on. I usually eat healthy, but occasionally the fried clam shack or the ice cream stand call to me... I can resist anything but temptation.
I'm generally low-maintenance and easy going (usually), I know what makes the world go round, I stick up for myself, do volunteer work, read the newspaper, don’t need fancy things to have a good time. I would take a nice restaurant over fast food any day yet love a good hole-in-the-wall place. I can carry on a conversation on most subjects (or I'll make something up), cook a good meal, plan a weekend trip, and would like to meet someone who can bring their own interests to a relationship.
First Date
I would like to keep it simple at first; a drink or coffee and a chance to see if there is any chemistry. If it goes well, then it would be great to meet for dinner along some water; the ocean, river, a lake, kiddie pool; sit outdoors and enjoy a nice autumn evening.
