About Me
Has Fear of Bunson Burners.

7/30/08 Update - Pushing the sexy angle, I changed my main image to one of me yawning this morning. It's not flattering at all, therefore it's perfect. Also, it shows just how ridiculous my crazy irish beard is. While I'm mostly italian I'm fairly certain my beard is 100% the irish in me. It's unruly, and randomly decides to change colors to light orange after a little while, making me shave it off and start the cycle again. To further this update I also dropped a plate this morning and broke it. I'm calling it a physics experiment to save face.

I miss the nerdy people. I once read a profile for someone that quilted DNA strands to throw at unruly roommates, watched firefly, wonderfalls and baked cupcakes shaped like original Nintendo game characters/screens. This is hands down one of the coolest people I've ever read or heard about. Unfortunately that was on another site and the person was long gone at that point. I'm looking to meet people like that.

I'm not here for sex or dating, I'm just here to meet interesting people.

I'm an absolute Dork. I have a very wide spread list of interests and I'll probably only find more as time goes on. I love to learn and use my imagination and when for some reason I can combine those two forces of brain-nature I find myself in good times. That doesn't mean I want to do those things at all times and I really love watching poorly scripted horror films or sophomoric comedies (like grandma's boy, Superbad, etc).

I love gaming. Really, I do. Everything from video games to elaborate tabletop/board games to role-playing games. (You know, the pen and paper stuff for ultra-nerds.) Further elaboration here would result in a book my non-gamer friends just wouldn't want to read.

One of the few things I really just can't talk to people about are sports. Watching them for extended periods of time -usually- makes me want to tear my eyes out. Less traditional sports are interesting, like MXC (I think that's right, the Asian show where people do ridiculous challenges to equally ridiculous announcer commentary), but football, basketball, baseball... just aren't for me.

Random Tidbit #1: My favorite vegetables are probably spinach and artichoke. The latter can be blamed on my Italian upbringing but the spinach is likely due to a fascination with fore-arm deformities on cartoon characters. I make a mean tomato sauce that has NO ONIONS. Have you ever looked at an onion? It has veins. Vegetables should not have veins. I have a running theory that they were trying to develop in to a more advanced life-form to conquer humanity but failing that they simply torture us by emitting a noxious tear gas in to the air at the time of their demise. Onion powder is okay though, all visible signs of veins have been nullified.

Random Tidbit #2: I once listened to 5 Tori Amos albums in one weekend and was temporarily rendered female by the induced hormonal imbalance. Later I accompanied my girlfriend-at-the-time to a Tori Amos concert where I found myself moody and wanting to cuddle. I still like a few of her songs (like Winter), I can cook, and I like to dress nice. Biologically though I remain male.

Random Tidbit #3: Christopher Walken is awesome.

My available time isn't really the greatest. I work a full time technical job, work MANY freelance jobs, may be going back to school soon (I want to learn to blow stuff up with my mind), and have a huge family that find ways to take up my time in some fashion. That said, I'd love to hear from you. Not just locally either, I have an interest in travel and sociology too and wouldn't mind making friends abroad.
