Words don’t really come close to describing a person and what they are wanting in a relationship… but for a general idea here’s where I’ve begun and will edit and add as I learn to talk about myself (which I’ve been taught you’re not supposed to do).

I know who I am and I know what I want.

I tend to be a bit of a homebody but like to travel and explore.

I enjoy cooking and am pretty good at it – and though I can use a cook book – I seldom follow the recipe exactly as it is. I enjoy going out to dinner and an occasional movie.

I enjoy my job and am researching material for a book.

I love deeply and passionately, but tend to be a bit shy (at first) and reserved with new people.

I'm curious and love to explore and learn new things.

I can't say "I'll try anything once", but I can say “I'll consider it.”

I'm independent enough to do most anything I want on my own, but enough of a lady to like to be treated as such.

I’m cautious but also very spontaneous and impetuous and have learned that hindsight is so much clearer than the present moment.

I don't own a t.v. - I'd much rather read and use my own imagination.

I have a great relationship with my two grown children and adore my grandson. I am very close to my parents and siblings and frequently communicate with them.

I "collect" quotes and have turned that into an interesting side line.

Words are subjective and lists can be limiting or sometimes freeing… so I’ve created this list of traits that describe me and want to meet someone that is complementary.

Honest, enjoys holding hands, hugging, cuddling and snuggling, enjoys flirting, affectionate, sensual, spontaneous, loyal, intelligent, family oriented, loving, optimistic, open minded, intelligent, easy going, compassionate, tolerant, fun, passionate, willing to be totally committed to a relationship, accepting of others (friends, family, and children).

Here’s a few of my beliefs:
I don’t need to be “completed”, I am already whole. Seeking a complement to me (no I don’t need compliments, someone who will make us better as a pair than as individuals).

Mistakes are made and that is the truest form of learning.

I am worth more than a dollar figure and understand that the finer things in life can’t be bought.

Past relationships aren’t failures – at least not for me – each one filled a specific need within me and once that need was met the relationship changed - sometimes for the better.

Just because I'm divorced - doesn't mean my marriage was a failure... the two have little to do with each other. I had successful marriages (yes more than 1) and am grateful for the experiences.

Online dating or connections are an interesting twist on an age old dilemma. I'm interested in potential friendships, dating, and seeing what else might develop.

I haven't 'dated' in a long time... here are some ideas that appeal to me for a first meeting.
Planning to go floating again - 2nd weekend of August with my kids and some of my son's Army buddies (they just returned from Iraq)
Coffee shop - I don't drink coffee but they usually offer chai tea.

Bookstore
