Ok so here is my attempt to conjure attention without seeming desperate, needy, ****y or too much like the multitudes of other women's ads out there.

I am not desperate for a relationship. I know that when I find the right person, things will happen naturally. I guess I have this idealistic idea of meeting someone and having an instant connection. When I am with someone, I am with them unequivocally, through thick and thin. I put my whole self into relationships...which is why I don't enter into them lightly. I have dated plenty of people but only had relationships with a handful. But amazingly enough, I am still friends with almost all of them!

I'm definitely laid back and easy to get along with. I try really hard to make people feel at ease. I hate those awkward silences you get when you have absolutely nothing to say. I love kayaking, camping, fishing....outdoorsy crap. I probably don't go as much as I should. I also love to curl up with a good book or watch a movie at home, especially horror. I read a lot, everything from essays by E. B. White to Stephen King to those horrible little paperback novels touted as "good summer reading!" at the checkout stands (because reading in the summer = drivel on paper, I guess).

I'm also kind of new to this part of the US - I just moved here about a year ago for work. So maybe you can show me around or something if that's not too cliche.

On the outside, I'm a tough independent chick with a bunch of tattoos and piercings. And that's a pretty accurate description of me, of course, but what most people don't know is that inside I'm still pretty unsure and sensitive. I have a sense of humor that would best be described as "dry" and probably by some as "not appropriate." You can still take me home to your mama, I swear. I'm also pretty tactful and socially graceful.

I love all types of music. Rap, country, rock, easy listening, ambient. If you can play an instrument I will be forever entranced. Bonus points if it's a piano, organ or violin. I am so musically uninclined it's ridiculous, but I love listening to it.

Ideally, I'd like to meet someone who is pretty laid back and has some goals in life. I have a job that I love that I work very hard at (oh and it's nights, too, which makes my social calendar awful thin) and would like someone who's got a little ambition. Great conversationalist is a must. Someone who leans a little (or a lot) towards the dark side is definitely a plus.

Take me to a cemetery. No, really, how awesome would that be?

Or maybe we could just go to a park and swing. I like to swing.

Anything besides the usual dinner and a movie fare. I don't like to eat in front of people I just met (weird, I know) and always wondered why sitting next to someone in the dark for a couple hours, being quiet, was a standard first date.
