I'm a kinda serious guy with a good sense of humor... not much of a sports fan... a 'bring out a couple glasses and share a dark beer' kind of guy... and have that beer with a $5 movie from Wal-Mart or on loan from the library... raised in a small town in Northern Minnesota... (br-r-r-r, cold winters, too)... background in tech, writing and legal writing, editing and some publishing, heavy duty truck driver... nonsmoker.

Lots of experience of late operating a 13-ton Caterpillar track loader (big, heavy equipment). Sadly, I spun a bearing on the Cat D6 dozer in the picture, so it's gone now. Nonsmoker. About six miles north of Spencer, I'm moving a five-story hill to fill in and terrace a ravine one 4,000-5,000 pound bucket load at a time (and I live here, such as it is, not in town but when someone asks where I live, I say 'Spencer'...)

Frankly, 2008 and 2009 laid me out and left me upside-down, under water, looking for right-side-up and for better days ahead... so you can expect I'll bring an inexpensive bouquet of flowers and an equally inexpensive-but-good little bottle of wine... (like an Aldi's Liebfraumilch or chardonnay)... I like free venues like music at DePauw or in Bloomington... nonsmoker, did I mention that?

I've done a little rescue and dog training in the past... have one personal black cat, Missy... a thirteen-year-old shih-tzu, Agnes, deaf and bump-into-things blind, who needs drops in her eyes twice daily... and a foster, 2-year-old female black lab, Tika. I'm a nonsmoker who rescued Agnes and Tika from the Humane a while back; Tika would love a home with kids and a fenced yard... Old Agnes and Missy stay.

Yeah, I'm a third house Sag with Sun conjunct Mercury (so a thought that goes through my mind probably pops out of my mouth, too, hang the consequences), Libra rising, seventh house Taurus Moon, Jupiter and Mars conjunct in Capricorn--also in the 7th, Venus in Scorpio in the 2nd. Don't believe in it? You really, really don't have to... any more than a goldfish has to believe in fishbowls... it just is. You might just Google Venus in Scorpio in the 2nd house, though... Hey, Mercury's retrograde in Libra until the 19th or so and then continues retrograde in Virgo until the 29th or so. Makes for a better time now for introspection than locking things down. And, right... I'm a nonsmoker.
