Hello. I'm a very laid back, relaxed and easy going person (probably to a fault). I'm6'4" tall, weigh around 220, grey hair (getting pretty thin on top) brown eyes and usually have a short beard. I don't consider myself anything special in the looks department. I guess I would think of myself as earthy or even a little rough around the edges. If you're a Barbie looking for a Ken doll, you really need to stop right here and go to another profile. I'm not a slob but I have to tell you that I don't own a tie or a three piece suit. I'm not comfortable wearing those kinds of things so I don't. I also never have and never will own a wrist watch or a cell phone. Kind of an old hippie here but not still living in the 60s. I like the outdoors and outdoor activities but I'm not a constantly on the go type of person. I have a lot of varied interests and things I like to do like camping, kayaking, craft shows, antiques and a lot of other things to numerous to list here. I'm always open to trying new things as long as they don't endanger my life (please don't ask me to go skydiving or bungee jumping). I participate in things like the fairie festival in Glen Rock (if you don't know what this is, please ask) and the Pirate Festival in upstate New York. I'm not a party person but certainly up for one now and then. I'm not into drugs and for the amount I drink, you may as well say I don't. I have a couple of bad habits. I smoke. I don't smoke in my home though or allow others to. I probably drink way to much coffee and I like to sleep with my sox on. I consider myself to be a gentleman, kind hearted, honest and open minded. I've been alone now going on 5 years. I really never thought I'd be alone at this point in my life but, the longer I'm alone, the easier it seems to get although there is so much I miss. Not a game player. I just don't do things to other people that I wouldn't want done to me. I'm not a couch potato or tv junkie. In fact, my tv hasn't been turned on in I don't know how long. I would just rather listen to music or find something else to do. My favorite music is jazz, (right now), but I also like some country, classical and rock. I'm a huge Willie Nelson fan,convinced Alison Krauss can walk on water and I always keep going back to Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Neil Young, Boz Scaggs and a lot of others. I love to go shopping but like poking around in unusual little shops like you might find in places like Gettysburg or Inner Harbor.

What am I looking for? This is a tough question. In a way, I kinda hate putting anything down here. Someone I might be perfect together with will read this and say to herself "well, that's not me" and move on to another profile. I guess I'll just list some things/qualities that I like but very little here is carved in stone. I'd like someone as laid back and easy going as I am. I'd prefer her to be between 47 and 58 years old. I know none of us are 18 years old anymore but I would like her to be "resonably" height/weight proportionate. I do like a jeans and flannel shirt, country type of lady. I love long hair but this is not a requirement. Although I'm certainly up for a good restaurant, someone that would rather go on a picnic and fly kites. Someone that would enjoy sharing a bottle of wine beside a fall campfire. I want someone who wants to be pampered but not smothered. Someone who wants to be loved, not possessed or owned. Someone who would like to share some of my interest but have interests of her own. Someone who will not only be my partner but also my best friend. I don't care how much money you have or don't have. Money doesn't impress me. I'm not looking for a financial partner here so your wallet is safe with me. The same with education. It doesn't matter how much or how little you have. I value common sense a lot more than what you might get out of a book.

I have to admit that I like to take things slowly. I'm in no hurry here and I hope you're not either. I also have to admit that I'm a little on the shy side at first so I may not initiate contact. I think I can count on one hand the women I have writted to on here so, if you think you'd like to talk, please write. Please don't just look at my profile and expect me to know that you might be interested. Just say hello. I can take it from there, I really can.
