Have to admit I am a hopeless romantic who believes there really is someone for everyone...if I could only find him! I also believe in honesty...if I could only find someone who could appreciate me for who I really am and allow me the privilege of doing the same for them. I've been married three times and I'm sure that's enough to scare off most men, but,although I am definately not high maintenance, I will not be ignored, put up with drug abuse, or constantly wonder where the next meal is coming from. That pretty much sums up the three divorces! I would say I'm average to good looking and been told I'm in real good shape for my age. I ain't no spring chicken no more but I ain't an old hen either! I would rather be outside than in and like gardening, long walks and being around water. I'm a painter and I play the guitar a little. My family is a very important part of my life. I have three grown daughters with families of their own and they have given me five Grandchildren that I adore! I LOVE animals of all types, but am very allergic to cats and birds. I have a dog, her name is Sophie, I rescued a little over a year ago, don't know what I'd do without her cute face to come home to. I like having alone time, but, being lonely is all together different. Sometimes I can't believe I have screwed up the courage to even think about another relationship and I sure know I won't settle for less than both people deserve this time. To really love someone, you have to really honestly like them and be able to respect them and then if you can feel that chemistry,too, you just might have a real shot at the real thing. I would love to have that, for the rest of what ever life I have left.

I hadn't up dated this thing for a year and some changes have occured. I was remodleing houses with my 3rd ex-husband the last couple of years until the bottom fell out of our work this last Dec. We had remained friends since the divorce in 2004 and were simply working together and living in seperate places. After the jobs slowed way down we disscused sharing the rent on one of the houses we had redone the year before. Doing so has cut living expenses in half and that has made life less scary for sure. It may seem a strange thing to do but it is purely finacial. We have seperate living areas and seperate lives. I find it necessary to mention this because saying it later has caused some men I have begun chats with to just end them abruptly. If you can understand that sometimes in life you do what you need to do and not necessarily what you'd want to do then please feel free to e-mail me. I hope there is someone out there who's brain is bigger than his ego....

What would I do for a first date....How about pray that I didn't look as nervous as I felt!lol A simple picnic might be nice. I'd like to go anywhere that two people can talk and get to know one another a little. Maybe a hike if the weather was good. I like to fish too. Having coffee is a good excuse to gab and I do enjoy poking around in a flea market. Oh, did I mention a bottle of wine for that picnic!
