A little about me:

I'm drama free, intelligent, witty, sarcastic, and fun. I love all things artistic: theatre, live music, art, dancing. The great outdoors is great, and I've spent a lot of time in it, but as of late I prefer cafes, museums, and theaters. I read like a fiend, laugh like there is no tomorrow, and smile all the time.

After years and years in the creative field working in editing, marketing, and design, I have recently earned my Master's degree in Education and am now teaching high school English and Graphic Design. I love working with youth. I feel like I have finally found my calling. I don't have any children of my own (unless you count my 150 students), have never been married, and don't have EX-issues.

I love the movies, music of all kinds, live theatre, coffee and tea, traveling, and holding hands. When I go fishing, I bait my own hooks. When I go shooting, I hit the target. I've been told I have a naughty streak and a wicked sense of humor. I enjoy watching sports, especially baseball and hockey. I love off-roading. Jeeps and big trucks are sexy (of course, so are fast cars and convertibles).

I'm 5'7" with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. I drink, though not excessively, don't smoke, and know how to have a good time.

I don't play games - when we're together, you'll have my undivided attention. You won't find me checking my phone for messages or to see what time it is. You should know how to return phone calls, and respond to my flirty text messages. :) What do I hate the most? Flaking. How can this be avoided? Just call! Yes...It's really that simple.

Just a note: One thing that drives me crazy and is sure to get you no response from me - If you can not complete a sentence in your email without lapsing into "text" speech and writing, don't bother writing me. I teach high school English. Sentences that look like the following drive me crazy: "Hey grl. U so fyn. How u doin 2day? What U lokin 4 in a man?"

If you are looking for the typical O.C. girl, you won't find her here. I'm no blonde, Barbie bombshell. I have a personality. I think for myself. I make my own decisions. I have a brain. It's my biggest muscle. I can spell and always use great grammar. I respect myself and expect those I befriend or date to do the same.

I am not physically perfect. I don't weigh 95 pounds. I have a body. It has curves. I used to be severely overweight but have recently lost over 100 pounds. Because of this, my body is not trim and tight. That, I am still working on. It will be a life long struggle, but one that I am succeeding in accomplishing. But most importantly, I don't NEED a man to complete me. I'm independent and perfectly content to remain single until I find a man that will respect me and treat me right. If that is something you can accept, I'd love to talk more.

I'm comfortable wearing jeans and a tee, tailgating and watching a baseball game, going off-roading, or even camping and fishing. On the other hand, I love to get dressed up and see a live show, go to the museum, or see a play. I believe all you really need on a date is the company of someone who can hold their end of great conversation, the desire to get to know one another, and the willingness to put oneself out there - the activity or location are really just secondary when in good company.
