I'm not allowed to tell you my name yet, I guess... so I'll just tell you a little bit about me.
My hobbies include knitting, reading, being goofy, making people laugh, being everyone's mother, singing to myself and writing (mostly plays). I love the New York Mets and have a secret crush (I guess it's not so secret anymore) on Mr. Met. Who wouldn't want a boyfriend with a giant baseball head?? I'm often found cooking wonderful vegan meals and trying to get other people to eat them. I just finished my first year as a teacher, which is probably the coolest thing I've ever done. My job makes me super happy and makes my friends nervous about the future of the children of New York City. I haven't quite figured out how the kids feel.
I'm very, very silly and sometimes act like a big kid. I love roller coasters, dopey movies full of toilet humor, and running around in the park. I'm one of those people who is game for everything and does not worry about how I will look doing it - if it's fun, count me in. I'm girly, but I also have a tomboy in me left over from when I was seven that hasn't moved out yet.. as a result, I love "boy" things like baseball and cordless drills. I also love spicy food - the hotter the better - and I wonder if there's anything better after a long day than a nice, cold beer.javascrapt:smilie('

') I need to add that it makes me happy that there is a cheesy smiley icon of a beer.
I'm always down for a road trip. Always.
I can probably kick your ass, but I also probably won't.javascrapt:smilie('

') I'm pretty easy going and really know how to pick my battles.
I'm disgustingly in love with Christmas.
At almost any given point in time, I'd be down for getting a drink. Especially now that it is summer and I have off from work!!!
I like making new friends and am always down for meeting new people. Especially if they live in Brooklyn. I love me my Brooklyn.
For me, dinner and drinks are the ideal first date - a classic if uncreative standby. I need the opportunity to talk to a person and get to know them, and dinner and drinks give that convenience. A first date should be about getting to know someone and seeing if you enjoy their personality... it's boring, but it's honest.
That said, I'm a pretty adventurous gal. I've always thought a trip to Six Flags would make a really good date - the waiting on line for hours gives us a chance to talk, while the excitement of the rides would bring the fun. And while I'd love to find a man willing to go skydiving with me, I don't think that is a first date sort of plan.
If you're looking for long walks on the beach while we sip champagne under the moonlight and read famous poems to each other, I'm probably not your girl. That sounds nice, but it also sounds forced. I don't really care what we do... if we like each other enough, we'll bring the fun.
