Who am I and who do I hope to meet? A tall order in a short space so I'll simply use adjectives or quick blurbs to answer both aspects of the question.
ME: Female friends describe me as confident (but not arrogant), funny, athletic, tall, outgoing, a good father, outdoorsy, relaxed, intense (how's that for opposites!), organized, well read, and someone with whom they enjoy spending time. I work in corporate sales and travel frequently. Equally comfortable in a grey flannel suit; my tuxedo or some faded Levis paired with a white t-shirt and flip flops. And to be fair and very up front; I love my kids but do not desire to have more children.

YOU: How would my ideal female be described by her friends? She'd be approximately 37-53 years old. She'd be low maintenance and relaxed. She might have kids or not; but she could be single, separated, divorced or widowed. She'd be very athletic and active. She'd love to travel. She'd probably like yoga (like me.) She'd probably love skiing. She'd be smart, tall or short, and enjoy movies, restaurants and reading. She'd be independent and would enjoy her space. She'd be open minded to all kinds of music; as I have eclectic taste ranging from Pearl Jam to the Counting Crows to The Rolling Stones; from the Blues to Etta James; from the CSO to Bill Withers and opera. She'd be passionate about the beach and traveling; but at the same time she'd be happy to watch DVDs on the couch on a Saturday night (on occasion.) It isn't necessary, but it's probable she'd be a successful professional. She'd look great on my arm in a little black dress at the CSO, wearing jeans and cowboy boots while drinking a Guinness at an Irish pub or banging moguls in Jackson Hole, Alta or Snowbird. Most importantly, she'd be an equal partner in everything. To me, passiveness is not a plus. What ever happened to BOLD women? Women in business development? ~ a total plus.

Something low key where we can drink some coffee and just sit and talk. Let's be honest. We'll both know immediately if we're physically attracted to each other; and, within a few minutes, we'll also know if we *click*. I won't be offended if you aren't attracted to me, and I hope that you'd feel the same way - attraction is a mysterious thing. If we mutually agree, maybe we could make some dinner plans, go listen to some music and have some fun. Life is too short to be too serious.
