About Me
I would love to say I am an open book, but that isn't exactly true. I can be naive about a lot of things & some innocence left in me. Most find it hard to believe, but I think its how it is. I tend to want to see the good in EVERYONE....but not everyone has as tender a heart or as caring an attitude as I have. I love kids....mine (7 yr old son), my family, my friend's kids, even stranger's kids. I spend most of time trying to give a good life to my son - baseball, soccer, boy scouts, church, tutoring. Being a single mom is hard, but he is the most important thing in my world. I am one of those smart, strong willed, outspoken types of women. I try to keep it on the light side & use sarcasm & humor a lot. Some people think I am funny, some don't. Music is the my life force. I don't think I could live if I didn't have music all around me. I love my family, my friends & my church. And I actually LOVE MY JOB. Some people work to live....but I actually work to help other people. It happens to come with a decent paycheck, so I can't complain. But I would rather love my job than make a bunch of money & be miserable for the rest of my life. Money pays the bills, it doesn't define my life.
I am pretty open to meeting just about any one. But I don't really like being lied to, cheated on or being put down. Sorry, but I just can't live with that. I would like to meet some new people - friends are great, if something more happens, then I will go with the flow. I would like to meet someone who places a HIGH value on family, likes the outdoors & having adventures, has a creative side & is able to express himself. I want a partner, not just a fling.
First Date
I have had a lot of really cool 1st dates - I guess that makes me lucky. I have never been spoiled & get really confused when there are too many forks on the table, so I am not really into the high-priced, glitzy glam places. I am pretty low maintenance & will do almost anything once. A picnic, a stroll, a day trip to the coast or the mountains, or a movie & home cooked meal are good for me. Just try to avoid red roses, chocolate, anything gold & raw fish (except oysters) & it should be all good.
