Building My Dream Home
About Me
This is definitely the wrong time for me to try online dating!

First, I'm building my dream home. Second, I'm filing a patent application and starting another new business. And third, I just got a really bad haircut.

Nevertheless, rather than wait for Cupid to come along to mess up my life, I'm determined to do it myself by joining this site.

I'm new to online dating, so I'm not certain how to best "auction myself" off. I suppose that I'll just keep adding a few new photos, and a little sales hype, to my profile so you can find me in a crowd.

I'm reconstructing and tripling the size of my house on Washington Park, (built in 1916), and its exhausting. There's also a lot of dust. So, while you might not be able to reach me immediately, (because my computer is not located at the "Box"), I would still enjoy receiving a quick "hello". I'll try to reply as soon as I can.

First Date
I kinda shy, so on a first date I might accidentally trip down the stairs or bump my head on a table. I'm not normally clumsy, but I get a bit nervous on first dates. It originated in Kindergarten when a group of jump-roping girls ambushed me for a kiss on the playground. (However, I still don't know the reason I don't like the zoo. I probably blocked it out.) Since then I get tounge-tied while trying to make small talk. Nevertheless, if we start trading questions, and you are willing to open up and tell me about yourself, I usually forget to be guarded too. Just don't make me laugh while I'm drinking anything.

Anyhow, if I survive for a second or third date, I might persuade you to try some things that I consider to be just "ordinary" fun. For example, while I might be talked into most anything on a first date, (especially either skydiving or jello piglet wrestling), I usually don't spend an entire day seeking new adventures. I just don't know anyone who has that much free time - especially on a date.

Instead, if we have less than two hours available, we can enjoy a few simpler pleasures. In short, a casual drink at a local pub. Or a quick bite at a restaurant that neither of us has visited before. Or a walk around the Park, (with or without Frisbees), or even a drive to another park with the top down. Or perhaps watching a rented movie on my front porch. (OK, that last one might sound a little strange, but I love sitting out and enjoying our Colorado evenings. By simply adding a TV and DVD player I can quickly create a personal outdoor theatre, and popcorn can be crunched and munched without disturbing any neighbors.)

Finally, if we succeed in getting past the initial dating stages, I suppose I'll just try to invent additional events and excuses to see you again and again!

I'm not experimenting with online dating just so I can learn skydiving, the proper method to remove lick-on tattoos with feathers, or some other dangerous skill set. But I also don't mind if you want to bring a mountain bike or some cake mix on our dates. To me, it doesn't matter if we sing in a tunnel or dance in a boat. I'm simply trying to meet a good person with a great heart. And if you happen to be the right one for me I'll learn to love some of your quirkier pastimes too.

After all, if we're lucky enough to find love it doesn't matter what other diversions may be in the way.

(Nevertheless, all that being said, you still get extra points if you know a nice quiet place that features jello piglet wrestling!)
