About Me
I'm a nice, open-minded guy in Orange County with a good head on his shoulders and a big heart. Hardworking and goal-oriented, but I live by the adage "work to live, not live to work." I enjoy MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a pastime, in addition to my regular visits to the gym. I spend time with friends just exchanging obscurely referenced jokes and cheesy humor, exploring new dining locations, taking in an indie or classic film at old theaters, museums, the beach or most other outdoor activity. I go to the occasional club or bar, but a night in can be much better with good company.
I enjoy the little things in life... a good wine, a nice view, the smell of the outdoors. I can have fun by just rolling down the windows, cranking up the tunes and driving- no destination required- all while playing the dashboard drums. I have spontaneously driven from my home in Orange County to San Francisco and back in the same day just to have dinner! And why would I take the shorter route when the longer route is so much more beautiful?!
I watch a lot of Discovery, Science Channel, National Geographic and TLC, but still love Family Guy, The Simpsons, Seinfeld reruns and especially It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I have my feet in both worlds; I am kinda nerdy on the inside, but you wouldn't tell by looking at me. Unlike most guys I assume are on this site, I am not frothing at the mouth with testosterone. I highly value intelligence, respect and integrity rather than the general machismo and primitive characteristics my knuckle-dragging counterparts display and proudly hail. If this is what you seek, you've just wasted your time reading this far. You can't expect something "different" from someone typical.
I take care of myself and I expect the same from a date. I am looking for something substantial. Someone who can recognize and appreciate a bright mind. Someone with style, someone with culture. Must not fear profundity. A person that is not from the same bland and mindless baseball-watching, hot-dog-eating mold. MUST have a sense of humor! Oh, and bad spelling is a pretty big pet peeve of mine.
Not expecting much from this site, but we'll see. And, ladies, please excuse me if I message you and the planets are not properly aligned, I fail to find the absolutely perfect combination of words, in the precise context and exact order necessary to pique your interest. I am not the greatest at this and if I were, I would probably not even be on this site.
Why is the act of making love on TV a sin, but killing and destruction praised? Why do we spend billions funding a war at a moment's notice, yet debate, dispute and vote for educational spending? If you agree that questions like these are valid and significant, please message me!
First Date
A first date can vary so much depending on personality and tastes, but a dinner at a nice quiet Italian restaurant and conversation over coffee or drinks sounds good for a start.
