I'm Hank.. I wake up, go to work, come home, drink some beer (I'm a bit of a beer nerd, so no Bud for me...), sleep, rinse/repeat. The rest of the time is filled with the things below.

Things I like:

- Music (pearl jam, boysetsfire, the casting out, touche amore, thursday, dillinger escape plan, flogging molly, gaslight anthem, social distortion, bad religion, ramones, etc)
- Good beer (stouts and IPAs mostly... and pumpkin ale in the fall) and red wine.
- Tattoos (I umm, have plans for a lot more... so, I don't care if you have any or not, but I guess you shouldn't care that I do... I also tend to automatically assume girls without them don't care for guys with them, but what do I know?)
- Politics (though I hate politicians, go figure)
- Baseball, hockey, and soccer
- My job/career
- Curious and inquisitive people
- Cooking (well, eating... but cooking leads to eating)
- A healthy dose of sarcasm and cynicism
- Running around in the woods, hiking/camping, etc
- Trivial Pursuit and other trivia games
- Horror films (in particular anything dealing with zombies or post-apocalyptic stuff.)
- Public transportation
- City living
- Tasty coffee
- Destroying my brain with TV (the Wire, Six Feet Under, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Daily Show, Seinfeld any variation of Law and Order etc (though I got rid of cable, so, TV on DVD))
- List, apparently


Things I don't like:

- Rudeness, lying, and other assorted bullshit
- Overly partisan politics ("republicrat / democran, one party system")
- Reality TV (or really most TV for that matter)
- Running (that sh*t sucks...)
- Cheap beer (miller, bud, coors, etc... except when fishing, then it's ok)
- Football and basketball (I don't get either, yeah, I know, I'm weird)
- Society's obsession many material possessions
- Fashion (I'd be content wearing a hoodie every day, though I wear a suit to work every day... go figure)

Prefer: dive bars over clubs, fall over summer, takeout and beer over fancy restaurants, nice quiet nights in over partying all night.

Beer/coffee and absurd conversation.


I should also throw this out there, since more than a few people have had issues with it. I was active duty military for 4 years, and am in a guard unit now (you know, the whole 1 weekend a month, 2 weeks a year). If it bothers you, fine. For the record, I haven't supported our military interventions under the last administration (and bleeding over into this one) despite my involvement in them.
