I am a fun-loving, outgoing type of person who loves to love and loves to be loved. I love to laugh and have a blast whenever possible. I love spending time with my son and having family get-togethers. I love to entertain. I like to get all Martha Stewart and stuff. It would be awesome if Da Man could be supportive of my quirkiness. I like to try my hand at sewing and various other crafty things. I love creating. I want to get into photography more. I love to try new things and share new things with others. I love movies: comedies, romance, drama and adventure. And if I really like you, I can do horror/suspense. Can't stand the blood and guts though. :-x I love to read, fiction mostly, because I read to get away. That doesn't mean I can't or won't read nonfiction, I just prefer to immerse myself in the fiction. And, apparently, I love to say 'love'.

I am an honest person and expect the same in return. Communication is an ABSOLUTE MUST. If you can't talk to me, and I can't talk to you, then, what's the point? You need to tell me what you like and need and I will do the same. I need someone who is strong, yet, sensitive. You will treat me like a Princess, but still be able to put up with me. ;) I will treat you like a prince in return. You need to love to laugh and have a great time. This is where a great sense of humor comes in. You must possess a positive attitude and self-confidence. Neatness is must. You should be willing to try new things. Ambition & drive is a good thing. If you are as affectionate as I am, that's a bonus. I definitely want Da Man to be my best friend, first and foremost. The rest will be the icing on the cake. Coffee and cake are such a great combo. ;)
I want to live life and have fun in it. I enjoy staying home cuddled up with a good movie after a yummy dinner. I enjoy going out to eat, movies, theater, etc., as well as trying new things. Maybe you have some new things to try?
I was born and raised in San Diego, CA. Moved to MO in May of '99. I am a Heinz 57 mix. Consisting of Italian, Irish, German, French-Canadian, English and Danish. Can't get much more mixed up than that!
I have just recently accepted Christ as my Lord & Savior. The best thing I could ever do with my life. Da Man will have a strong relationship with Him, as well.
I graduated from high school in CA in 1992. I have a couple semesters of college under my belt, but put it on hold to pursue a full time job. If I knew then, what I know now, I would have stayed in school while pursuing that all evasive full time job.
I love Avanzare and Nakato's. I'm also a Starbucks-aholic. I love to go to Barnes & Noble, grab a mocha and peruse. I would love to one day, whisk off to Europe and see the sights and experience the culture.
My favorite things are great company, great food and great movies! A good book. Coffee. Fluffy pillow. Fuzzy blankets. Italian/Mediterranean food. Flip-flops. Warm loving kisses. A good cuddle. Cook outs. Fireflies. Summer evenings.
**UPDATE**I just finished the Twilight series. I am now reading AVON: Building the Premier Company for Women. Who knew AVON was THAT big? I also have The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, The Craggy Hole in My Heart & The Cat Who Fixed It added to my To-Read shelf.** *I. Love. To. Read.* Mysteries/whodunnits, chick lit, magazines, cookbooks, self-improvement, the Bible and whatever seems to pique my interest. The Purpose Driven Life, How to Avoid Marrying a Jerk, Your Best Life Now, Fearless Fourteen –Janet Evanovich, and New Moon (#2 in the Twilight series) are all on my ‘bedside table’ at the moment, as well as the Bible, of course.
I love just about all types of music, from classical to alternative and everything in between; with the exception of bluegrass, rap and polka. Not so hot on the Mariachi bands, either, unless we are at an authentic Mexican restaurant! Country isn't high on my list, but *some* of it is okay. Barbershop is way up on the list of good music. If you don't know what that is, you are out of touch...but you can always Google it. :p I sing Barbershop with a local award-winning chorus. So much fun! But it does keep me busy. It would be nice to take you along to a show or competition as my own personal cheering section. :)
You should know that I rather dislike NASCAR, fishing and hunting. I know that being in the Ozarks, it's nearly unavoidable. It is what it is. I am city girl virtually moved to the country. What's that they say? You can take the girl out of the city, but you can't take the city out of the girl? Very true.
I am highly organized, outgoing, loving, affectionate, sexy and strong. I know what I want and what I don’t want. I don’t want Opie, Gomer, Earl, or Verne. I am interested in something a bit more ‘dignified’ and/or refined. Such as Chandler or Ross (maybe not as dumb as Joey, though). Intelligence would be a major bonus. I would love to be able to sit with you and drink coffee and read the paper or a book. Then maybe discuss what we’ve just read. I don’t want to have to explain every little thing (2 + 2? Really?). I would love to talk to you about more than movies or video games. It would be nice if we could take in some live theater every once in a while for some culture. And by live theater, I do not mean the Pink Cadillac or Branson. I’m thinking more like {putting up with/enduring} an evening at the Nutcracker. I’m worth it. ;)
"I can be changed by what happens to me, but I refuse to be reduced by it." --Maya Angelou
"Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see the beauty, believe in them and try to follow them where they lead." ~Louisa May Alcott
****Note: I know that my profile says that I smoke occasionally, it's true, I do. However, I am wanting to quit. It would be great to find a non-smoker to be around that helps lessen the temptation to smoke!! Clear as mud? GREAT!!
I'm up for just about anything. I will say, that I would love to be wined and dined. I deserve it. I'm worth it. Just so long as we can talk and get to know what makes each other tick.
