How do we all end up resorting to P O F? Why is it that we can't go hang out in a coffee shop or a bookstore and meet someone who we connect with in an intense and real way? Isn't that the way we all dreamed it would be? But that doesn't happen, does it? We are all too afraid of making that move, of walking up to a beautiful women and seeing what might happen. It is easier from the computer. Somehow that fear of rejection is not as intense when anonymity is involved.

And so here I am. Given up on the hope of meeting her in bookstore, I am holding on to a new hope that she is out there reading this and thinking, "Why not?" So if that's you, go for it. I just want to meet someone who lives in the city, who wants to laugh and wants to discuss the larger things in life. I want to meet someone who cares about others and is confident in herself. I want to meet someone who loves to read but isn't afraid to leave it all out on the dance floor.

So while I have given up hope of the romantic fantasy, I am not giving up hope that she is out there somewhere. I am going out of town for the weekend, but am hoping when I come back that I hear from those who are ready to take that sometimes frightening, but totally worth it, chance.
