Looking for happiness is the easiest thing to say. Have had the bad marriage, now want a good one. Want someone who thinks of me as an equal and lives by a single set of rules. Who means what she says, who will truly understand that I have kids and everything that comes with them. Looking for a partner, for a friend, for a companion. You would think this would not be so hard to find.

I am finding that conversation also seems to be a lost art. I prefer to start out slowly, have conversations via email, get to know how a person thinks, find out likes and dislikes, some history and background before an initial meeting so that the first date can be more relaxed because you feel like you already know enough about the other person to be more comfortable. Most people want to put little effort into emails, which makes me wonder how much effort they would put into a relationship. Something to think upon.

Depends on the person, but I tend to be the romantic. I like to think of new things and do things out of the ordinary. However, a first date should be something fun, where each person can be relaxed and let the date happen.
