This is difficult because there is so much to say about oneself and that kind of detail should be reserved for a date so as to make it interesting. So I think an outline of who I am and am not is fitting. I am divorced from a 20 year marrige. I am like George Carlin in my philosophical beliefs and I have called him my older brother. I am a progressive liberal that looks at a bigger picture than the one at hand. I understand how people should communicate and intermingle with each other. I have a sense of humor and can be very funny. I am also an honest, trustworthy, loving, one woman man who wants the same in a woman. I want a woman to complete me as I think we are born alone and die alone and thus we struggle to be with others all our lives and long to be with that special person more than anything. Compatibility is essential and here are some things I like: .............Intelligent, receptive communication. Going to pubs, the mountains. The beach. Pool. Good teas. Microbrews. Making love. Being frugal. Staying home sometimes and watching movies. Oldies and classic rock. Intimacy. Healthy-ish eating habits. Dogs and animals generally. (I have 2 small dogs). George Carlin-may he find peace and a great gig in the hereafter. Germany and western Europe in general. Beef Jerky............ and some things I don't like: TV. Football. Basketball. Sports talk. Walmart and big boxes in general. I think there's way too much advertising. Commercialism. Condiments except butter. Blues. Jazz (smooth jazz is ok). My goal is to visit every Mcmenimins in Portland and vicinity. If you're still reading, great. What else...Let's see....being alone as I have no siblings and never had kids. I'll save the rest for when we meet.
