Contrary to what most initially think, I'm a very laid back, amiable guy who is much more into quiet nights in watching DVDs with someone he cares about than loud nights out at a bar. I'm very athletic, funny, intelligent, kind, caring, honest and confident(ok, sometimes a bit overly, but not in a bad way, lol), yet extremely humble & down to earth. I'm a fairly eclectic person, my tastes in all areas vary greatly(sometimes to the point of paradox, hence my screen name, lol), I'm open to trying a lot of different things and am always willing to meet someone even if our interests aren't exactly lined up perfectly. I think that's what makes people expand their horizons and I'm always looking to do just that.

I like to think of myself as a well-rounded man's man, one who can handle himself equally as well in a verbal debate or in a physical altercation. I think it's very important, in today's world, to have BOTH of those traits; I take care of myself very well in both arenas and always look to keep the person I'm with feeling safe. I put my time in at the gym & run a few miles a day, I'm pretty health conscious, I work hard during my job, and would like to enjoy my free time with someone who is looking to just have some fun and meet someone new.

I watch a lot of History Channel shows to actually get something out of my tv time, yet I'm a HUGE Family Guy & South Park fan(2 shows with, more or less, no redeeming value, lol)------I actually think they got the idea for Cartman from me as a little kid, lol, I should look for a copyright on that and get a cut.

I'm looking for someone who is anywhere between 21-40, preferably someone who takes care of themselves physically. I have no real preference in specific physical attributes (though blue or green eyes is always a plus, hint hint). Level of education is non-important, I find that someone who never went to school can very often be 10 times more intelligent & fun to be with, and someone who graduated from Harvard can still be an absolute moron. Of course, there is a lot of middle ground in between, but you get the idea.

Let's see, what else? Well, my family & friends are are very important to me, they keep me grounded. I try to make a point to split my time between time with my sister, my friends, and with that special someone I may meet. I have no kids, never been married, I've recently come out of a long relationship and just really looking to meet someone who is as genuine, real, and honest as I am(I, unfortunately, didn't have that for a long time). We can keep it simple at first, then let it go wherever it may.

I'm not going to come up with exactly what I would do on a first date cause I think it completely depends on the person your with. I am basically looking for someone who wants to have a nice time out with someone new. I think a few drinks always breaks the ice pretty well, a bar/restaurant/billiards/comedy club/whatever are all fine by me. Hang out, get to know each other, then see what happens. Basically, though, I'm up for whatever----movies, amusement parks, museums, go out for a few drinks & shoot pool, etc, etc(but NOT clubs, so please don't ask---they're just awful places). The only other things that seem kinda odd to me is when I read people's idea of a first date being something ridiculously over the top like bungy jumping or sky diving. Those are all well & good, but on a first date???? Anyhow, send me a message, we'll figure it out together..............
