*******ABOUT ME********

Let me start by saying that I have put a lot in here about me because I am trying to make the most out of trying this online dating thing and I would genuinely like to find someone who is interested in the real me...These are the things that I feel I want someone else to know initially before contacting me so that they know what I'm all about so we don't waste each other's time...If you are willing to find out, then read on... :)

First and foremost I am a PROUD SINGLE MOM OF 2 GORGEOUS CHILDREN!
I have my own place and a car..I work hard monday thru friday however, I would eventually like to be able to finish college and degree in NeoNatal Nursing and Pediatrics.
I AM PROUD THAT I CAN HOLD MY OWN, BUT WOULDN'T MIND SOMEONE STANDIN BY MY SIDE TO HOLD ME DOWN WHEN I NEED IT.
So far I haven't had much luck findin a guy that's willing or ready to do that :( but would like to...if there is still such a thing as an attractive, faithful, FINANCIALLY AND EMOTIONALLY STABLE young guy,(ya know that has his own place, his own car, a half decent job, limited drama, etc etc)...who's into and not intimidated by a responsible, independent, hard-working, devoted MOTHER of two....(by the way, I also have no 'baby daddy' drama)

***MY INTERESTS***
I like to cook, especially when I have company, and I really love going out to eat...like indian, chinese, mexican, italian..
I enjoy spending time with friends, having company over, and having family time with my children, and believe it or not actually spend time with my parents a few times a month as well...
I am very into music and love to sing, but don't worry I'm actually pretty good at it, and if you're around me you will definitely hear it...I go out to karaoke
and I'm also working on a demo cd, but that is slow going right now...I would love to have a band someday too...
I'm more of an indoorsy girl, I luv to cuddle up and watch movies, or just hang out...However during the summer I do enjoy going down to Dead Rock quite often and King's Dominion...
I have a great sense of humor and love to be around people who make me laugh, and can also take a joke. I like going to comedy clubs when the opportunity arises. I like watching pro football, and if the right teams are playing or it's a good game I can really get into it...
Even though I haven't had the pleasure of owning any myself (yet) I appreciate the fun of fast cars and bikes, and am more than willing to be a passenger...

I would like to meet someone and see how it goes without really rushing into anything...
You absolutely have to either LOVE KIDS OR LIKE THEM A WHOLE HECK OF A LOT cuz mine always come first no matter what and I need someone who is ok with that...I'm NOT lookin for someone to fill father shoes for my kids or anything like that. I know there are a lot of single moms out there who are looking for 'another daddy' for their kids, or put that pressure on a guy. I'm not one of them. My kids are well taken care of by me. If it ever came to that then fine, but it would be a long time before that would happen. I would prefer someone who is willing and comfortable being around them, because we are a package deal. I have no help raising my kids, so I do not have the luxury of being able to have completely separate social and home life and if I'm going to take time away from my kids, I want it to be worth it...

Well by my choosing, I've been mostly single for the past 3 years, trying to get my life together and take care of my responsibilities. I've had a few short-lived relationships mostly ending because I realized the person wasn't worth my time or we just weren't compatible.
But I know what I want, and what I don't want and when I find that, I'll know it's right...I know that sounds cliche but...
I want someone who is self sufficient and can take care of their own business. I have myself and 2 kids to support, so can't and won't support a guy...lately I keep findin scrubs and guys who dont have their own car and who live with their parents or lots of roommates..SERIOUSLY GUYS, IF I CAN DO IT ALONE WITH 2 KIDS TO SUPPORT, WHAT'S YOUR EXCUSE???? I'm really not tryin to be mean, but I'm getting to the age where it's time to grow up a little. You should live life to the fullest, go out and have fun and whatever, but not at the expense of also being a responsible adult...All I'm really askin is to find someone who is at or at least coming close to my level...Someone who has the desire to experience the finer things life has to offer.
I'm lookin for RESPECT AND HONESTY ALWAYS, and someone who is mature and responsible, but still young and fun.

Traditional type first dates are cool, but something fun and unusual and creative I think peaks my interest more. I want some excitement in my life, at least the good kind anyway. I'm not a big drinker so the club and bar scene isn't really my style, unless it's to do karaoke. I do love to hang out and just chill, so sometimes a small social thing is always fun. Those kinds of dates kinda take the awkwardness and intimidation out of the equation, unlike the one-on-one dates. I do have kids so to go out on a date takes a bit of planning, but later on down the road, I would enjoy some spontaneity with that special someone. The best thing about a first date is the new conversation that comes along with meeting a new person. I can get along with almost anyone, so if we have trouble talking on the first date, it probably wouldn't work long-term. I kind of like the group thing too when getting to know someone because it's nice to see how they interact with their friends and others around them. That's something that is important to me. To see how someone handles their social relationships usually is an indicator of how they handle their romantic ones as well...
