| | I should say that I was on here before under another name. But for some mysterious and still unexplained reason, my profile was deleted. I guess I must have been using too many dirty words, like "death" and "taxes".
Anyway, below is the information I gave about myself as it appeared in the original profile.

Well, I said I would update this once I looked around ... so here it is. The trouble with these things is that they have a tendency to sound a tad trite ... like a Hallmark card ... you know, superficially sincere. That notwithstanding, let me say this: I am a highly intelligent and articulate individual. I am also very creative and imaginative, with a definite artistic bent. I’m a romantic at heart with an eye clearly on reality, and my optimistic nature is tempered by a healthy dose of skepticism. I have a great sense of humour. I am generally considered to be quite good looking. (Wait ... I know what you’re thinking: This must be the humour part!) However, to be honest, I don’t always see this in myself. Yet, I am frequently complimented on my looks. I assume they’re not lying ... lol. By the way, I don’t look anywhere near my age, or act it some might say ... but in a good way! I guess it’s the difference between having a youthful attitude and being simply immature. Just in case you’re uncertain at this point, I’m in the former camp. I have an average to slim build and am in pretty good physical shape. I am neither a timid nor shy person. But I am not ostentatiously the reverse. In fact, I’m rather low key. I’m a very good conversationalist with an easy and relaxed manner. You will not feel uptight or ill at ease in my company, I assure you. I should also let you know that I am not into cars, sports or camping ... unless the car is a 1957 Chevy Bel Air convertible, the sport is chess (well, maybe strip poker in a pinch), and the camping is in the backyard — where we’d, of course, need a flashlight so we could read comic books when it gets dark!
I think the things I most appreciate and am attracted to in a woman are intelligence, compassion, sensuality, confidence and a refined sense of the aesthetic. |

I would think the first date should be something very relaxed and informal ... maybe just meeting for coffee or a drink. What I would like to have most on the menu would be conversation, spiced with humour and wit, and see if there’s any kind of chemistry. |
