I was married for almost 22 years and have been divorced for a year now. I have children and grandchildren who are first and foremost (do I really need to even say that). I also have an elderly mother that I help take care of. I don't have a lot of free time and meeting new people is a bit of a challenge because of my schedule. I would rather find a good friend first and if it goes somewhere great and if it doesn't thats fine too. I don't want someone that is always in agreement with me but I don't want everyday to be a constant battle either. I'm not looking for a fairy tale or a prince...just someone that I can eventually share the load of life with...and butterflies...I want to have butterflies...I'm not a barbie type of girl. I prefer my blue jeans and tshirts and my hair in a ponytail but I can dress up if the situation calls for it. I work in a technical field so I'm a bit of a geek and I don't mind getting my hands dirty if its working on a car or working in the yard or (bonus) baiting my own hook. I like to ride motorcycles and watch college football and softball and love to watch Nascar. I'm a Jr. fan and I cried the day his daddy died. I'm just a plain and simple person. I like to spend the day fishing if I can and will take the kids camping every chance we get. I don't believe in rushing into anything and I will not be forced into it. If you want something fast try McDonald's. My heart is mine to give and I will give it when and only when I feel that it has been earned. Once I reach that point I can be loyal to a fault. Yes, I've been burnt and I am going to take things nice and slow and build friendship and trust before anything else. I like all kinds of music but prefer the older metal heads like Ozzie, Metallica, Megadeath, Alice Cooper and Aerosmith to name but a few. I have my own opinions about things and I'm not very shy about voicing them...sometimes I forget to be not so blunt and might say something not very lady like (oops). I am comfortable with who I am and the skin I'm in and have no desire to go through a make over at my age. I believe in God and that he does sometimes have a very warped sense of humor but He's God what can you do but laugh and go on. I have an enormous independence streak (duh) and don't do well with asking and sometimes accepting help with anything...that's where the friendship comes in....a true friend knows all this and still hangs around you anyway if for no other reason than the comic relief LOL. I have three tats and may add one or two more before its over with. I am human and have my good days and bad days...sad days and pissy days and days when I just want to be by myself for a while....its nothing personal and a good friend will know when to just sit there and stare at the wall with you or help you reload the paint ball gun LOL. I don't want someone to walk behind me or in front of me but beside me....and bring the butterfly net :o)
