I consider myself to be an independant and active woman. I work hard but I know it is important to know when to kick back and play. I am very dependable and look after my home and family first, but when the work is done, I like to take time for me.
I seldom sit unless I am at work (desk job) or eating. I am not one to watch television unless there is someone to enjoy a movie with or to rub my feet while they watch hockey.(hint) I am compassionate and caring, respectful of others and the environment, honest, open and communicative. I am an ex-smoker and really have difficulty being around others who smoke. I also strive to keep fit by participating in a couple of fitness classes a week, I curl in the winter and play baseball and sail during the summer. I love to rollerblade, cycle, volleyball, tennis...many more.
I would really like to travel and see some of this fantastic world but I am hoping to do that with someone very special.
I love most types of music and food, love to laugh, good conversation, pampering, and especially dependability. I like to try and learn new things, so hopefully you have something new to expose me too. If you are a recovering alcoholic, or drug user, I am truly not for you. I wish you luck in your recovery.
I do hope to someday learn to play the guitar and piano, but I am leaving that until my body does not allow me to do the more active things I enjoy.
My children have been the focus of my life for many years and are still a big part of it, but I have learned that I need to nourish my own growth and they are older and do not need as much of my attention.
It is my hope to find someone to share some time with, be it working in the yard or kitchen getting a meal, or playing ball or cycling or blading or on the water, talking over a glass of wine or watching a movie, give each other massages, lovemaking, you get the idea.

First dates or the initial meeting...I think they can be somewhat difficult...hopefully it can be somewhere semi-public where you can talk and laugh without interruptions and still feel at ease in this strangers company. I am comfortable on a walk or at a pub for a drink ...depends on the day or night, or the season, for that matter.
