Looking for the one like me, in shape and inquisitive, a little different but in a quiet and unassuming sort of way, likes to work out in a variety of ways - mostly in the out of doors and away from the madding crowd, likes to read at times and is OK with laughing at a sitcom occasionally, keeps mostly to herself but gets along well with everyone when necessary, simple life but still appreciates high culture, global citizen and world watcher.

I like to feel my muscles straining, a cold rain in my face, my lungs ready to explode, the sun burning my skin, the river carrying me downstream, gravity holding me back, the wind frustrating me, a hawk cutting across my field of vision, the earth rotating under my legs, the focus I feel in nature. I regret economy, political systems, indifference, ignorance, global warming, poverty, standards of living, extinction, pollution and the inevitability of participating in it all.

I am really good at: building things; the J stroke; al dente pasta; running up that hill; chopsticks; finding the inner secrets of things, you maybe; taking things apart; making coffee; long slumbering idol days; jumping in the river; breaking things; Monday crosswords; transporting spiders to safer locals; raising camel crickets; creative thinking; dropping and spilling things; driving the speed limit; getting lost and getting back, eventually, someday; finding the middle ground; ranting and raving, occasionally; massages; leaping over capitol T in a single bound; listening; communicating; lifting heavy objects; jumping in the surf; sharing

I am currently out of work. I have jumped around a lot over the years doing different jobs most recently construction but I have not been career oriented. These days networking a job doesn't pan out and applications get no response. I expect to be employed again but presently it does not look promising. All the same it would be nice to have someone to look towards the future with. And yes, living simply goes with the territory but low income doesn't necessarily translate as low life. You might just find it means enjoying more what you do have; nature, pets and time spent with each other. I need to be engaged in living my life as much as is possible in the moment, it isn't about gratification, it is about sensing and thinking and being.
