Diana Ross sang “you can’t hurry love you just have to wait”! I have been waiting for many years and frankly there is no line or queue at my door, presently. So I have decided to take control and go down this path as so many of my friends have. Even though for me, this seems pretty strange.

Of course, I am looking for the perfect man or the perfect partner. But rather than perfect, I will settle for someone who has or has had a good work ethic, has integrity, a sense of humour, easy going, not loud and a braggart - someone independent and can stand their own ground; someone willing to try new things, experience new adventures.

I am fortunate to have recently retired from a job I loved after over three decades. I loved going to work each day, worked hard and now can enjoy well-deserved new adventures. I would love to drive across Canada, join a curling league, an antique car club, day trips to small towns and villages in Ontario and Quebec. I am happy and content in nature – must be near trees and I guess a city girl with a country girt at heart. I am not a gardener and golf is something I have not tried.

I have two grown children and two wee grandchildren – a blind deaf golden retriever who keeps me close to home. I live a large small life. Large in that I have wonderful family and friends – small in possessions, down to earth, modest.

So lets chat and see where this takes us.

Enjoy a glass of wine somewhere on the market in Ottawa. Take in a hockey game. Take a stroll. Of course there is coffee. Lets just get out there, get chatting, and see where it goes.
