Well...like everyone else, I'm not sure what to put here. I'm looking for someone who can make me laugh, who will hold my hand during scary movies, sit and talk with around a camp fire, enjoys going out for dinner - or just staying home and doing nothing.

I love the hot tub. I love relaxing, feeling the heat soak into my body. Especially good after swimming in a chilly pool! And, especially good to share with someone else. I seem to be a big fan of all things hot...my favourite part of camping is sitting around a nice big campfire. Or...laying in front of a nice fireplace, all wrapped up tight with my partner.

I'm opinionated and passionate, so if you can't handle debating, you're probably not the one for me. The important thing is not that you always agree, but that you are always respectful and understanding of the other persons opinion. I'm very conscious of trying to be respectful of people from other cultures and faiths, and admit, I feel uncomfortable around people who are not like minded.

I'm a big hockey fan...and by "hockey", yes, I mean the Leafs.

Totally uncultured when it comes to food...terrible I know, but a big plate of nachos, and a large margarita, is my idea of heaven. Or a sour apple martini - love those too!

I enjoy going to movies, going out for drinks (on a patio in the summer, in particular - I like to people watch), the zoo, exploring the city, drive-in movies (hard to find - but fun), listening to live bands, going for walks, relaxing in the hottub, cuddling on the couch watching a movie. I enjoy "smallish" towns like Kingston, that have an interesting downtown, with lots of cool stores, but they aren't crazy busy. Or, Niagara Falls (which can be crazy busy) with all the really tacky tourist stuff...and the hotels with the "in room Jacuzzi" which can be nice for relaxing with a drink and my partner, after a day of being a "tourist". I also really like camping...but I confess, I'm strictly a "car" camper. I still like some of my comforts...like a flush toilet. I know, I hear you die hards saying, "that's not camping!", but really, the best part for me is the relaxing campfire at night, so what difference does it make?

Please don't message me with one word emails. I have no idea how to respond to that...I'm hoping to find a friend, with real chemistry, mutual trust, understanding, good conversation, sharing of themselves and myself. I really don't believe that starts from sending you a message that says - "hey baby" - and nothing else. (And no, I'm not opposed to pet names...sometimes I use them too!). I changed my "looking for" from dating to long term...but I do realize that everything starts somewhere - I just don't know how comfortable I felt with the "dating" label...so I swapped it for one I do feel comfortable with.

I have a child - I share custody with her dad 50-50. Her father and I have an excellent working relationship. If you are not comfortable with me having a child, or not comfortable with the idea of last minute "schedule" changes that can occur when you have kids, please don't contact me.

There is more, but we need to keep something to talk about, and it's fun to discover common interests together.
