I am a little bit eclectic and eccentric (though eccentric in a good way :o) ). I 'm a cycling nut (both commuting and leisure), I run, I'm a computer geek by profession but I have a BFA (in painting), I do tai chi and meditate, and play guitar. I'm also a pretty good cook. I'm a hockey fan and a soccer fan (though I refer to soccer as football). I'm a avid music fan, live and recorded, and my taste is pretty eclectic (currently brit pop is in heavy rotation, mainly Stereophonics and the Kooks). I'm a computer geek for a living, which is a job that is both frustrating and rewarding depending on the day.

I've had some interesting travelling adventures: climbed the Great Wall, hiked the Kalalau Trail, drank beer in the Hofbrauhaus in Munich, had a coffee in the Mozart Cafe in Vienna, not to mention more traditional Canadian and US destinations.

If you were to describe my personality, I'd use words like open-minded, relaxed, laid back, smart and I think I'm funny :o). l'm in ok shape, but need to do a few crunches. I'm the kinda guy that is more comfortable in shorts and sandals, or jeans and a t-shirt, but I polish up pretty well when I need to.

What am I looking for? A woman that shares similar interests, or if not share at least willing to tolerate and respect them. You will get the same tolerance and respect from me in return. I value intelligence and a great sense of humour more than good looks (though there's nothing wrong with good looks, of course). Confidence is great, arrogance is not. So if you're looking for someone like me, let me know.

PS: you don't have to bike, that's ok, as long as you can put up with me biking!
PS2: I'm non-religious, and pretty serious about it. I respect other religions, but I'm not about to convert for someone, I have a perfectly good religion I don't use, I don't need a new one. So, just keep that in mind.
Warning: I'm very allergic to cats, taking allergy shots, but if you love your cat more than people, you might want to move along (no seriously, I could die), because at some point if things were to go well, a difficult decision will pop up. DOGs I'm ok with. In fact, I own one, so if you're allergic to dogs it might not work out.
