I'm an urban girl. Adventurous, fun, can be serious but only when necessary. Have been fortunate in life with a great family, an extended family of friends, a good work ethic which keeps me paying the bills.

I want to explore the earth, international travel is my passion and my goal is to fill my passport before it expires (was only a few pages off on the last one). I love being outside in Chicago or some foreign land where the exotic flora, fauna and culture take my breath away and I can’t wait to wake up each morning for the next adventure. While I’m a passionate scuba diver I’m not necessarily looking for a dive buddy, I think having different interests makes couples more interesting.

When I’m at home you’ll find me at small ethnic restaurants as opposed to loud trendy fine dining establishments (I love to eat!). A cool lounge is nice occasionally and I love a little dive bar with a great jukebox. I love to cook, so dinner parties at my place have replaced nights out at the bars. If I watch TV at all it’s Travel, Discovery, Animal Planet, PBS or History. If I’m exposed to reality TV I feel dumber for the experience. I love movies of all kinds but prefer to watch them at home with dinner as opposed to a theater, well except for IMAX which is just amazing. I love all kinds of music and love to hear new music at fests and local venues. I live close to a few great places for local live music.

I love animals, have volunteered for several animal charities over the years. I have a small mutt, Sasha who is at my side whenever I am home or can take her with me. She makes my house a home and for me a pet is always the best medicine after a trying day. While I love the pace downtown, my home is among trees, grass and wildlife, a hidden gem in Chicago and a great place for a human with a dog to live.

Easy for me to talk about myself, but who I’m looking for, that is a challenge. I’m looking to meet a great guy who’s friendship over the course of time will turn into a long term relationship. I believe chemistry will get you through more trying times than physical attraction. A love to travel to off the beaten track places is a must. As I said I’m an urban dweller and will never live in the burbs or a small town, so I’m seeking a city guy (or someone who would live in the city). Expose me to new things, challenge me to be a better human and be my best friend. Ha ha, now that’s a lot to ask for no wonder I’m still single.
