As a self-employed single mom and homeowner, my life ranges from simply busy to absolute chaos -- and, for the most part, I like it that way. What's missing is someone to share not just some of the activities, but also those rare bits of down time.

I’m looking for someone who “clicks” with me. We don’t have to have the same hobbies, or root for the same teams (Yankees for me). What’s important is having the same sensibilities, being able to laugh together at life’s absurdities, and, of course, chemistry.

I’m a big fan of public radio: WFUV, NPR, “Wait, Wait” and “Car Talk” on Saturdays. Love live music. The city’s great for museums, theater & ethnic restaurants. The beach is has plenty to offer all year long. My son is 13, and I tend to be the mom who takes a car full of kids to the beach, pool, Splish Splash, movies, etc. Swimming laps almost every day keeps me centered and healthy. Definite homebody side: cooking & entertaining, reading, TV shows with one-word titles (Monk, Bones, House, Jeopardy), board games (Scrabble, anyone?), and I’ve been known to finish the Sunday Times puzzle on occasion.

The man for me is smart & funny and comfortable in his own skin. He’s living his own full life -- and is willing to share it with the right woman. Straight-forward – definitely not a player – flexible, and willing to try new things.

None of us have made it this far without acquiring some baggage & making some mistakes. But if we can stash the baggage safely away and learn from our mistakes, maybe we can get it right this time!
