If you can finish the headline quote then you earn bonus points! Who am I? Hmmm....that would just take way too long to explain so we'll go with the short version. I am a mother, a teacher, a wonderful listener, a supportive and beyond loyal friend, a lot shy but kind of funny, too. I am quietly observant but just remember that still waters run very deep. Once I am comfortable with you, watch out because you will never get me to be quiet! I am the person you can call at 2:00 in the morning because you are lonely and need a friend. I am the person who will rescue you and your dog from the side of the road when your truck breaks down in the pouring rain. I am the person that will stand beside you when the rest of the world has walked out the door. I am the girl that will laugh with you, cry with you, and always be your friend. I am the one who will share your interests and want to learn more about them. I am the one who will rejoice in your accomplishments and share in your disappointments.

I love animals and have a soft spot for rescues. I take in all the strays (sometimes the human variety) and nurse them back to health. Then, I have a hard time letting them go to new homes. I have been the dog sitter for more than one pet that needed a temporary home. I have taken in too many young cats only to find a litter of kittens a few months later. At the moment, my house is home to 3 dogs and 4 cats. The dogs are dachshunds and a lab mix. The cats are just cats but loved all the same. I would hope to find someone who shares my love of animals.

Music is a huge part of our lives. I have two teen aged daughters, and at least one of us always has music going either from the computer or the ipods. My personal favorite is country, but I only like the newer stuff. I don't too much care for the old twangy country of long ago. I like Broadway musicals with Les Miserables and The Lion King being two of my favorites. I also like old Motown, some jazz, and even some classical. Of course, having two teen girls means I am subjected to quite a bit of pop, too. Actually, the music my girls like isn't too bad and some of it can even be found on my ipod. I really like attending concerts and would really like to find a new concert friend.

I LOVE my DAWGS!!! I am probably the most avid female football fan you will ever find. I take my NCAA ball very seriously. In fact, fall isn't a season for me, but football season is my favorite! My bulldogs are my favorite, but I really just like college ball. We used to have season tickets for the Dogs, but I was missing too many other great games. Now, I just enjoy my Saturdays from September to November. I will even be so bold as to match my football knowledge against yours. Are you up for the challenge??

I love to travel and really like being around the water. As a child, we camped almost every weekend the weather would allow. I even owned a popup for a while, but found it was a bit too much work for one single woman and two teen girls. Still, I enjoy camping and would like to share that with someone, too. Now, don't get me wrong, I like a nice resort or condo just about as much as a camper in the wilderness. I'm always open to new travel experiences and travel companions.

I guess at this point, I should probably confess my deepest secret. I am a Disney nut. Yes, some would even say obsessed. It's okay if you don't really "get" the Disney thing, though. Just give me a little time and I'll have you just as excited about a trip to the House of Mouse as I am. And, if you think Disney is just for the kids then you definitely need your own personal tour guide (me) to show you that Disney is WAY more than just for kids.

Well, this has turned into a short autobiography, I'm afraid. I find it very difficult to "package" myself in just a few paragraphs. There is so much more to me than what you see on this page. If any of what I've said interests you, please drop me a line. I promise I'll respond.

I think first dates should be simple with time to talk. Dinner is an easy option. Concerts are great, too. I would suggest a football game but I'd be too involved with the game to talk. We'll save the game for a little later. Meeting for coffee or lunch would be fine. I'm really pretty open to most ideas. Let's do something fun and get to know each other then see where the evening takes us.
