so i'm both an artist and an oil man. i'd rather just be an artist, but that don't pay the bills. so i'm an oil man too. you don't meet women when you're an oil man. not when you're working, at least. and not the kinda woman that i'm interested in meeting. when i'm back in the city, i'm usually too busy to meet many women because i'm always working at either becoming a better artist, or making a better career for myself as an artist. there's that, and of course there's the fact that people just ain't people anymore. it's not like i don't meet any people/girls, but there's no honour and loyalty in most people anymore (see what i mean? most of you that just read that think i'm using antiquated terms from the middle ages, not words that mean anything anymore). i guess if i can meet a girl or some friends who do still appreciate the importance of those two qualities, it'd make being a casualty of the 'online dating' scene worthwhile (ouch! i might not be the most sociable person on earth or anything, but how the crap did i end up in that category?!?!).
by the way, if any of you girls mean it when you say you're looking for a guy who can make you laugh, you'll never laugh so hard. that's no understatement. you know how guys find 'curly' from the 3 stooges so funny? chicks find me about as funny as guys find that dude...which is pretty darned funny...

whatever the girl wants. i always make sure i inspire her, no matter how casual or intimate things get. personally, i love a museum or art gallery before a quiet dinner (i'll cook-you'll be impressed). finish the evening off with a classic on the tube, and we're doing all right. one we've both seen, of course, you gotta chat a little after dinner.
