Seriously, I'm often pretty lighthearted.
Humor is a must (I like sarcasm, sometimes extreme.) You only live once and I prefer to be enjoying myself whenever I can. I have my serious moments. I've met different people who have told me that seem like a very nice person and that I'd make a good partner. I'd describe myself as loyal, honest, & caring. I've had my knocks and I prefer not to give or receive them. On that note, when people say they're sick of games or done playing them, that's not a bad thing. At the same time, everybody transacts and that involves play. I'm just not into the kind where there's any disrespect. People's lives are precious vessels that deserve respect. I told you I have my serious moments. That said, I invite you to come out and play!
I own a sea kayak and I like kayaking in the bay for exercise. I enjoy backpacking, going to the symphony, dining out or making a nice dinner in.. not all in the same day. I'm currently learning to make yogurt. I appreciate art (used to study it) and still paint when inspired! I most appreciate expressionism and realism. Music similarly is in my life. I like classic rock, 50's jazz, 60's soul and romantic era classical. I was once a bass player in a pretty rockin' rock band and have the CD to prove it! I like sleeping in on a day off, but I'm also a bit of a morning person and tend to start the day with a lot of energy.
The person I'd like to meet compliments me, yet has a life of her own. Weekend getaways, cuddling, going to see movies, staying in to watch DVDs, bowling, checking out the arts in SF and the bay area all are things we'll do. It's more fun together. I aspire to have children. Living here is a very expensive proposition but it remains something to dream about of course. With the right person anything is possible. I'm on the thinner side of athletic and prefer a woman who is also thin.
I'm ultimately looking for a long term serious committed relationship, but I feel it's best starting off as friends.
